Wyatts POV
She stood before us, ethereal her power enimating from within her clear. "Don't do this, or you will lose Isana forever," her words are empathic yet clear. She lay a hand on Isana's head gently like she was caressing her own sick child. "My daughter will come back to you when the time is right," my eyes widened. "Your daughter?" I questioned my thoughts racing with anticipation. "Yes, my daughter," she said once again, and Mikal looked to her in awe "your our mother?" He asked, his voice choked. The moon goddess approached him "yes my son, I'm glad you found your way home finally." he looked to her. "Why did you leave us?" His voice was strained the hurt in his eyes. "I had no choice, gods and goddesses become mortal if they stay for too long and if I became mortal... Well, let's just say that it wouldn't be good for any of the wolves. " Mikal shook his head as though he refused to accept what he knew to be true. I felt sympathy for him. But it wouldn't change anything. I needed to know what to do for Isana. How could I help her? And as I was about to speak, the moon goddess turned to me. "You need to prepare for battle, Isana will wake. But you need to be ready for when she does. God's help you if you're not." And with that, she disappeared. I felt confused, but before I could even think about what just happened or what she said, I was knocked on my ass. Mikal had rushed past me eyes filled with a look I knew all too well as he pinned Dr. Perkins to the wall declaring in a lustful growl "Mate!"
Dr. Perkins cried in happiness as she kissed him, and the shock I felt in me was palpable. Yet it was also bittersweet. Rouges can't find their mates like a punishment for not having loyalty to a pack. By accepting our pack, he was blessed with the chance to find his mate. Although I never thought he would be lucky to instantly find his. I spent from my sixteenth birthday looking for my mate. I shook my head, I shouldn't be jealous. I should be happy for him. But as I looked to Isana's body frozen within her mind, I was reminded that I had to start to prepare for her battle. And with that, I kissed her forehead turned and looked to Mikal and left. Now, the real work was about to begin.
