Morning of

Finally home. After dress shopping we went to get dinner. Might be my last mother daughter date for a while. I walk up to my room and open my door to find a dozen roses on my bed with a note.

‘Crystal ive been waiting for this day to come. I can’t wait for tomorrow. Your mate’

Holy crap how is this possible how does my mate already know me? I hurry and mindlink my mother.

‘Mom can you come here?’

Befor I know it my door opens and my mom stands in my door way. I show her the roses and note and ask her how? “ Crystal, sometimes when someone turns of age and their mate is still underage this can feel a pull to their mate. Not the full mate bond but a pull. Some of the other packs have arrived while we were at dinner and if someone walked by your room and caught your scent it could cause the pull.”

I gave my mom a hug and told her goodnight. I found my pjs and changed. I guess I will have my mate tomorrow. Please Moon Goddess have them stay in out pack. I cuddle up in bed and say a prayer to my Goddess. I then think of tomorrow. I have to be up early again. I have my nails, makeup and hair to be done. I’m glad I don’t have to leave the pack house for all that. The Luna had a room set up for ally’s unmated she wolfs to get dolled up. I might be a Tom boy and like to get down and dirty but I also like feeling special.

‘Happy birthday Crystal, time to wake up’

‘Dad? Thank you! I’ll be down soon’

My dad never mindlinks me. That made me day alone. Beta Joel, my father, is always so busy and never has time for me. I get out of bed and grab a tank top and a pair of shorts and head to the shower. I take my time making sure everything is shaved so smooth. I turn the water off and step out to dry off. I get dressed and brush my teeth and head out.

Like every morning there’s a stampede of pups running for breakfast. I smell eggs, bacon, and biscuits and gravy. I head down the stairs and enter the dining room. There was a happy birthday banner and everyone yelled happy birthday. Everyone was in here like normal but Lander. Dang it. I won’t know if he’s my mate yet.

I sit down and start eating. I listen to everyone chatter as I’m lost in my own head when Serenity, my wolf, spoke up.

‘Happy birthday girl!! Today is the day!! I can’t wait. I want to met my mate.’

‘Me to girl but we still have a lot to do’

‘I know. How awesome would it be to be Lander or better yet have 2 mates, twins, yum’

‘Serenity don’t even. I don’t want to share my self with 2 mates. Gross. I’m ment for one person n one only’

I put my last bite in my mouth as my fork and plate are taken away and my arm is being grabbed. I look to has my and it’s my mother. My little brother started laughing. He’s been away for training. Since I’m older I get the beta chair unless my mate is of hire rank then Brandon would get the seat. He’s determined to get it. He just turned 17 last month. He has dirty blonde hair with blue eyes. He’s a pain.

“Brandon laugh all you want,” I yell as I grab his arm.

“What the crap sis, I ain’t girl.”

“No but I haven’t seen you in 6 months you got a lot of talking to do.” Brandon and I have a good relationship. We tell each other everything, we’ll I haven’t told him about Lander. He started laughing and tell me about training as my hair is getting done. I made him get trimmed up, he looked like a shaggy dog. When he was done I decided ild let him run off.

They put loose curls in my hair and pin the top part back making me feel like a princess. I’m in love with my hair. A knock hits the door and one of the girls hands my a single red rose with a note

‘I can’t wait to see you’ is all it said.

The girls filled the room with chatter as I explained about the roses the night before. They all take guesses of who this mystery Man is. They named people the had shown up the night before. I start to wonder why I can’t smell him on the Rose or why couldn’t I smell him in my room. Maybe he has someone else working with him.

One girl ask me what color my dress was and I told her then she started on my make up as the other started on my nails. My nails were painted white with a baby blue stripe on each one. I still don’t understand why mom and make this such a big deal. Like we are have a ball and I’m a princess finding her prince. I could understand if I’m the Luna’a daughter but I’m not, I’m a beta.

There another knock on the door and a voice asked if I was done yet. Next I know I hear my dad come in. He has a box in his hand. “Crystal, I hope you enjoy your night. I also hope you find your mate. This was your mother’s. I gave this to her the day I found her. This crystal has been passed down from 5 generations. Now this will keep you safe. One day when your pup turns 18 you will pass this on to her or him for his mate. I love you my princess,” dad pulls out this crystal blue necklace, it’s shaped in a tear drop. It’s so pretty. I lift my hair so he can place it on my neck l. I turn and give him a big hug. He kisses my forehead and walks out.
