‎ ‎The rooftop wind hit them hard. Below was the city. No escape. ‎ ‎Kai scanned the skyline. “Control tower. Three blocks.” ‎ ‎“And how do we get there?” Lia asked. ‎ ‎The case popped open. A drone unfolded and hovered. ‎ ‎They stared. ‎ ‎“…You forgot to mention flying,” Lia said. ‎ ‎They climbed on badly and soared across the city, screaming and laughing. Lia clung to Kai, heart racing. ‎ ‎“I’m never doing this again!” she yelled. ‎ ‎“You’re doing great!” he replied. ‎ ‎Shots fired below. Explosions echoed. ‎ ‎They crashed through the control tower window and tumbled inside. ‎ ‎Alarms blared. ‎ ‎Kai rushed to a console. “One minute!” ‎ ‎Lia grabbed a pipe. “I’m officially panicking.” ‎ ‎Men stormed in. Lia swung wildly, somehow knocking one down. ‎ ‎“I DIDN’T PLAN THAT,” she yelled. ‎ ‎Kai shouted, “Almost done!” ‎ ‎The room shook. ‎ ‎Chaos chased them—but they refused to stop running. - hi I'm the authos🥸
