Chapter One : Isadora's meeting
It's been many years since I've seen any of my family members, but the last time I did things didn't end so well. When I left almost all of my family were in tears, and the other hardware trying to throw knives at me to leave quicker. I guess it's better to start at the beginning rather than the middle.     My name is Isadora  Elizabeth Shadowfire, I'm 1,900 years old but look only 19, and I'm a vampire. The farthest back I can remember is two weeks before I was turned into what I am. I can remember everything, and that is a sad thing in and of itself.    When I do recall what I can remember I can see what I was wearing, and trust me the corset was not the nicest one. The dress was a new one, the colors were nothing like what my mother wanted me to wear which was blood red with a black trim and lace work all around it. I was also wearing me favorite rise water that night as well.     We had just finished dinner, and I was trying to get out of the house before anyone came to call that night. I had just reached the town square when I heard what sounded like a child crying in one of the side ways. I was walking over to see if I could do anything for the child, when the crying turned into laughter. As I was trying to turn to leave, something grabbed at my arm and pulled me back into the shadows. I thought it was one of my friends trying to play a joke on me, but when the person began to talk I noticed that the voice didn't belong to any of my friends.    I was about ready to start screaming for help when a hand was placed over my mouth. "I wouldn't do that if I were you Miss Shadowfire." Whispered the stranger into my ear.   I was able to move my face just enough to whisper back, " Why is that, and just who are you? "  "Well if you were to scream, then that would alert almost everyone that I am here. And as for my name, you don't need to know that just yet." He replied with a small smirk in his voice.   " Almost everyone would be alerted if I were to scream? What exactly do you mean by that? " I questioned.  "Yes almost everyone that is still awake at this hour would hear your scream. But those that are looking for me are trying to listen for anyone that would be screaming out of surprise. If I were you I wouldn't want to draw them here by doing that very thing." He answered back.   " Alright I won't scream, since you did give me an answer, but I would still like to know the name of the gentleman who I helped Dave this evening. And if it's not too much to ask, would you please get you hands off of me?! " I asked with very little patience left in my voice  "Well as for my name, I still won't be telling you that just yet. And I shall let you go Miss, but please do not scream. I will however be back to talk with you again soon if that is alright with you?" He asked   " Alright Sir, I promise not to scream. And you my come speak with me again. " And with that said he let go of me. As I was turning to look where he had been standing there was no sign of him!    With that having been finished I decided it would be a smart idea to return to my house before my parents decided to have family come looking for me. I was just turning to head out of the side ways when I noticed a single rose on the ground by my feet. When I picked it up and stepped out into the street to use the light there to look at it I noticed that is was the oddest flower I had ever seen. I figured I would take it home with me to press and keep from the strange night when I was grabbed and asked by a total stranger not to scream.    I made it back to my house just as my parents were getting ready to turn down the lights and head to their room. "Where in the world have you been all this time sweetheart? We were about to call your uncle's to go out looking for you!" Said my mother with a small flourish of her hands.   "Forgive mother, I was sidetracked by a few new flowers I saw on my walk. I was only trying to stay gone as long as it took for all of the callers to stay in their own homes tonight and leave me be. I didn't think it was already this late when I returned back." I answered her back with a small smile that heated my cheeks at the thought of the flower safely tucked away in the pocket of my dress.  "Well the next time you plan to stay out this late p!ease give us the for thought of a little knowledge. That way we don't start to worry again? I would hate to have to wake your uncle's at this hour just to find out that you are only five streets away looking at the flowers again dear." Asked my father with a small huff in his breath.   " I promise father. Should I have a need to stay out too long after dinner I shall have the for thought to let you and mother know. I would hate to be on the receiving end of my uncle's look should they need to be out looking for me. They scare me enough when they come looking for me in my flower garden just to come out of the sun. " I slightly giggled as I headed up the stairs to my room for the night. I took the rose out of my pocket and placed it into my favorite book.
