The Twin Alpha's and their Mate's

Chapter 2 (lucy POV)

Im currently in my room, with my best friend Brittney, getting ready for the ball tonight. Brittney has been Richard and I's best friend since we where all in diapers. Her dad is my dads Beta so it kinda makes since.

"Which dress should i wear tonight? The red one or the black one?" Brittney asked me.

"I say the red one because it makes your eyes pop and your skin looking delicious." I say while laughing at the shocked face she is giving me.

Brittney has long black hair that goes past her waist. Her eyes are amber, and her skin is an olive color. She is the same hight as me which is 5'6".

"Will you knock it off and start getting ready? The ball starts in 3 hours and you havent even changed yet!"

"Why should i get ready? Its not like mom and dad will notice if im there or not with all those people there." I say sarcastically. Of course my parents would notice. They picked out my dress which is a purple cinderella styled dress with a sweetheart neckline and beads-galore.

"Lucy you need to get your head out of your ass before Rich comes in here to beat some sence into you. You know how he is about parties. If he's being forced to go then he's going to force you to go too."

I groan loudly because i know she's right. Richard always makes me do things that i dont want to do but i have to.

"Are my two beautiful girls doing okay in here? I heard Britt yelling."

Speak of the devil and he will apear. Richard and I look almost identical. We both have ginger red hair, and purple eyes. Where we look different is that he is taller by 6 inches and looks more like dad while i look more like mom.

"I was just telling Britt that i cant wait to go and cant wait to find my mate" i say sarcastically while rolling my eyes.

I hate parties. Always have since i was little. Long story short someone that i dont remember decided it would be funny to scare me by trying to light my ass on fire......that didnt last long as my brother kicked the dudes ass.

"Luce you need to start getting ready so that way mom doesn't get mad. You know how she is about being 'on time' and 'you need to make a great first impression as future king and queen'" Richard said while trying to mimic how she would say this.

Richard and I agreed that instead of me ruling the kingdom (since im like 4 minutes older than him) by myself that we would both rule the kingdom together with our mates. So there will be 2 king alphas and 2 queen lunas.

"I know, I know, but doesnt mean im not taking my sweet ass time getting ready and possibly late for the ball. Mom said she doesnt care if we are late this time since its a masquerade and all and no one is supposed to know who we are, but she still wanted us to show up to find our mates."

(3 hours later)

I'm finally ready and heading to the ball room. I am being escorted by Richard and I's beta David. He is 6 feet tall with short blonde hair and emerald green eyes. He's the same age as me but a few months older. He's more of the quite type until you get to know him.

"So how was getting ready with Britt?" he asked nonchalantly about the woman he hoped with all his heart was his mate. Brittney left an hour before i did so her scent wasn't in the room anymore when he came to get me.

David moved into our pack when he was 5 years old. His family came here due to reasons that happened between his dad and their old alpha. So when thay came here my folks welcomed his family with open arms and Richard, David, Brittney, and I all clicked and became the best of friends so thats why he is our beta, and not Brittney.

"I dont even wanna talk about it. She kept saying that she cant wait to meet her mate, dance the night way with him and maybe something more." I say while winking in his direction. Because i honestly hope they are mates too. They make a super cute couple and i would be super happy if she was our beta female.

David blushed like there was no tomorrow. "Well here goes nothing!" He says as we walk into the room.

And thats when it hit me. The most Amazing smell i have ever smelt in my life. It smelt like the ocean and pine trees. I looked all around to try and find the source of the smell.

"Mate" i say with a growl. David is taken back and asked "Where?"

"I don't know but im going to look around and see if i can find him. I'll catch ya later." I say as I start to follow the scent around to try and find him.
