Chapter One

I didn't know what to do, whether to move or stay still. I looked at the guy in front of me, he held a scowl as I tried to remain calm. "Did she just—" "Slap—" I did. I slapped him, I slapped Hunter Grey. The notorious beast of the school. It was as if smoke was coming out from his ears, people were staring and I didn't know what to do. Girl run. I got given legs for a reason, it seems to be a safer option. However, I don't want to seem like a coward on my first day. "Isabelle. You shouldn't have done that," Quinn my cousin whispered harshly, she walks so that she's in front of me. "Listen, Hunter, she didn't m-mean to slap you." Quinn tries to say apologetically. "Actually I di—" Quinn sent me a heavy glare, I shut my mouth as people started to whisper. How can one not mean to slap somebody? I wanted to slap him, so I did. "Move," Hunter commands, Quinn does as he says, people stare at me as if I was some amusement park. "What's your name?" he asks, leaving me perplexed. I mean I did just slap him a minute ago. I was expecting him to punch me. "Hunter leave her alone please, she won't cause you harm." I hear Quinn's strained voice. "I said what is your name?" he asked once more, his heated glare pointed at me. "Why do you want to know?" I retort, he clenches his fists. "I asked you a question, I want an answer not a question," he demands. Quinn butts in, "h-her name is Isabelle." Thanks to my amazingly idiotic cousin my name was revealed to the psychotic guy. "Belle," he trails on before pushing me back on to the locker. He moves dangerously close to me as he looks me in the eyes. My head hits the locker, that's going to leave a bruise. "This is a warning. Don't ever do this again." he hisses, is he trying to be a snake. He turns his back on me as he walks away with his friend. "I mean all I did was slap him for treating that girl Stacey like crap," I told Quinn as she huffs as if she was a wolf. "Well it's not your position to even touch him or talk to him, he's the beast- nobody lays a finger on him and nobody tries to communicate with him unless he attempts to talk to you, which he doesn't do." "And here I wonder why the public always stares at people being treated harshly because cowards like you let it happen," I say spitefully touching my now swollen head. "And I've always wondered how I'm related to someone as stubborn as you." Quinn retorts. "It runs in the family! I mean have you met Hitl—" "Are you actually comparing yourself to Hitler?" Quinn gasps as I nod my head. "We are his descendants," I tell her, waiting to watch her eyes widen. Let's see how long I could fool her for. "No! Don't talk to me, I bet you're the one who is only related to him." Quinn adds stupidly. If I'm related to him, so is she, I wanted to facepalm. Quinn wasn't the brightest lamp in the family. She was more near the broken lamp side. She also clearly isn't the smart Quinn from Zoey 101 either. "Listen. First of all, I'm kidding, secondly what is this boy on- drugs?" I wanted to know what this guys problem was. Was he labelled as a beast due to his anger issues? Or was it because of his slightly growing beard. "He's Hunter Grey. Someone that you shouldn't talk to or even look at, just stay away from him- you'll end up being old news," she advises. It doesn't take a person who has been slapped by me that fast to forget me. Hunter Grey was a beast, I wonder how someone could ever learn to love a beast like him.
