OH, STEPBROTHER!

FIONA. The sound of racing cars filled my ears accompanied by the clatter of the impatient passers-by who hurried quickly down the busy City of California. The weather was calm and so relaxing that I felt they were settled just for me. "Hurry Fiona, we have to leave now!" I heard my mum's voice down the hallway, her words echoed loudly and found their way into my room. With a smile, I rolled my eyes and let out a tiring sigh, I felt sweat around my neck and the moist feeling irritated me. Quickly, I scanned my bed, picked up a clean white towel and dried my skin. I just had my shower minutes ago and I wondered why I felt so hot and wet. My eyes fell on the suitcase before me which had my clothes packed in neatly, my phone rested by its side. Filled with thoughts, I picked up a pair of orange socks next to the suitcase, glanced at it as I decided whether to take it along with me or not. "Well, you can be useful", I muttered to myself and placed it into the suitcase filled with clothes, bras, my underwear especially my bad b***h thong and of course my makeup bag. I quickly stood up from my small but comfy bed which I was going to miss, no doubt. "I will be down soon mum, give me another minute" I yelled and quickly picked up my hair brush, it was a bit unclean and filled with hairs. I strolled into my bathroom, turned on the tap and washed it properly with my shampoo. Its wonderful fragrance filled my nose. I walked back to my room, stared at my reflection for a while, "Put yourself together Fiona, your mum will be yelling your name in any minute" I scolded myself and began to brush my long black hair which had two hair clips by each side of It. I made sure I washed it with my God-sent coconut scent shampoo and honestly, it smells so nice. I glanced at my reflection one last time and slowly, my lips stretched into a smile. I won't say I am a pretty girl but people compliment me on that a lot, my eyes were blue as the sky, pink small lips, and a perfectly made nose. Well, I am just 5.6 feet and I just clocked 18 a week ago, ultimately an adult, and I can't wait to kick off my life. Today, I decided to wear blue shorts, a white V-neck t-shirt, and my lovely good luck necklace which had a butterfly design pendant on it. Finally, I am leaving for college, starting a new life, and of course, making good friends not bitches and snitches I had back then in high school. I heard so many stories and challenges college students face but I am determined to make the best out of it, make everyone love me, and maybe get my first tattoo. "OMG!" I squealed in excitement, "College will be so much fun" I exclaimed and quickly picked up my suitcase, scanned around my room for the last time, and walked out, closing the door behind me. "Who is excited about college?" My mum asked in her happy tone as she saw me walking down the stairs. Our apartment was well furnished and suitable for a family of two, just me and my mom. I don't know my father and I honestly don't care about his existence, he walked out of my life the day he abandoned mum and her 6 month old pregnancy. Men are scum! Creatures who think with their down region but I won't let any guy get me down on my knees, instead, I will make them crawl. My mum gently placed a kiss on my forehead as I got close to her. I chuckled and glanced at her, "You don't look, bad mum," I eyed her proudly, "Definitely, you are going to get the college boys dripping when they see you" I teased picking up an apple from the dining table. My mum laughed softly as she carefully adjusted her gown, "I might be too old for that honey" she implied. I turned to her with a raised eyebrow, "Old?" I implored, nodding my head, "No mum, just look at you." I scanned her with full assurance. Her blonde hair rested beautifully on her shoulder, she had red lipstick on accompanied by a red gown which brought out all her excellent curves. Her nails were well polished and her blue earrings fit her ocean eyes perfectly. "With the way you look, mum, no one will know that you are just 38" I said. "Oh, Fiona" my mum called out as she laughed heartily, "Anyway, we have to get going now" she picked up a black bag which matched her black heels excellently. "We don't have much time left, college is 400 miles away from here and you are lucky that today is my shift at the office, if not, you will have to go alone baby girl" she asserted as we both walked out of our home, I rolled my eyes at her words with my suitcase in my hand which I pulled gently. I glanced at my mum's car which stood firmly at our front porch waiting patiently. I sauntered towards it, opened the boot, and placed my suitcase in it. The gentle breeze blew my hair softly but all thanks to the hair clips which prevented my hair from becoming a mess. I scoffed, opened the car door, and sat at the passenger seat waiting patiently for my mum who came running with her car keys in her hand. "Alright, we are all set", she said and started her car as we slowly drove into the busy road and down the path that leads to my college. " Hey, bad girl lifestyle, here I come," I said to myself with full ecstasy as my lips stretched into a smirk of splendor.
