Our first stop after Mae had come to take Delilah to her lessons, was to the training field where Luca had Rory gather all of the Shadow warriors. Breaking them from Father's control was as simple as breathing. I was finished within minutes and Luca shook his head in awe as one by one, the ruthless warriors fell to their knees before me.
Luca, Lily and I walked to the new medical suite hand in hand. We had tried to prepare Lily the best we could for what could happen, but being so uncertain ourselves made it difficult. She did understand that something was happening and it made her nervous. She gripped my hand tighter and tighter with each step.
"It's going to be okay, Lily." I told her. Luca squeezed my hand as we approached the doors. We took a collective deep breath before we entered.
