The Jet

2001 Words
Margaret was extremely tired, but refused to sleep until they were on the jet. Taylor looked at her friend and saw how tired she was. Taylor frowned and looked at her parents in the front seat. “How much longer before we are at the jet? I think we all need rest once we take off.” Taylor asked her mom and dad. “We have about 20 more minutes and we will be there. Rest is definitely in the plan after we are in the air.” Collin answered Taylor as he glanced over to a now sleeping Sarah. “Okay, thank you dad. I know we all deserve some much needed sleep.” Taylor said and Zag chuckled a little. “You know, it is still day time out.” Zag pointed out the obvious. Taylor rolled her eyes and said, “being emotionally drained can cause more fatigue than physical tiredness.” Zag smiled and put his arm over her shoulders. “I know, I just wanted to try to lighten up the mood a little. We all love your sarcastic answers.” Zag said making Margaret bust out laughing. Sarah and Collin both began laughing and soon so did Taylor. “He got you there Taylor. You are a bit of a sarcastic person.” Margaret said still laughing. Taylor smiled and laid her head against Zag’s shoulder. “I’m so glad to be here with everyone. One difference with my dream is that I was not there for a year. I know it was a couple of months, but it felt like way longer. I hope I never see him or that facility ever again.” Taylor said as she enjoyed the warmth of Zag’s body against hers. “We are glad you weren’t there that long either. I thought I was going to lose my mind with not being able to see you.” Margaret said to Taylor. Taylor reached her hand over to Margaret and lightly squeezed Margaret’s hand. “I was going out of my mind as well.” Taylor said remembering how lonely she felt. “You do realize that Dr. Trey will not give up his pursuit to get you back? He wants the location of my world. It might be something we need to consider and trap him there.” Zag said as he looked down at Taylor. Taylor softly nodded and said in a sad voice, “I know. I know he will not ever stop until he goes to your world. We all know he won’t like the outcome of him going there. He still believes I am the key to get him in. I don’t know why though.” “It is because you are able to come and go as you please there in your dreams. It would be the same if you were there physically as well. He thinks he can obtain power there.” Sarah said with her eyes still closed. Collin reached his hand over and began rubbing his mates leg. “How are you feeling my love?” Collin asked not taking his eyes off the road. “I’m very tired, but I am regaining some energy. Are we almost to the jet?” Sarah asked as she began to sit up. Collin turned onto a road and a few moments later they all saw the jet. “We are here. Then we can all try to rest once we are up in the air.” Collin said as he pulled up to the jet. Taylor looked at the jet in awe. It was beautiful and actually a fairly decent size jet. Taylor opened the door and got out. She walked around back and opened the back hatch. “Chloe, you need to get into the bag and once we take off you can come out of it.” Taylor said to Chloe. Chloe meowed and jumped into her bag excitedly. Taylor giggled and zipped the bag up. There were staff members of the jet that began grabbing bags and the food. They carried it all onto the jet and made sure to put the bags where they could be accessed. Zag gently took the bag with Chloe in it and then took Taylor’s hand. “Are you ready to get out of here?” Zag asked as they started walking up the stairs into the jet. Inside the jet was even more gorgeous. The seats were all leather, with so much room. They could all sleep comfortably if they wanted to and still have room for staff to walk around. Margaret walked over to a seat and sat down by the window. Taylor and Zag sat across from her. Taylor noticed that Margaret and Scott teased each other a lot. She also noticed how they secretly stole glances at each other when they thought no one was looking. Scott started to walk by and Taylor stopped him. “Scott, when you’re finished please sit with us. We saved you a seat. Didn’t we Margaret?” Taylor said as she looked from Scott to a very red in the face Margaret. Scott smiled and said, “thank you Taylor. I will join you momentarily.” He then continued what he was doing. Taylor raised her eyebrow at Margaret and finally Margaret sighed and said, “yes, he is my mate Taylor. I have not accepted him yet.” Taylor looked puzzled for a moment then asked, “you were waiting until you got me back. Weren’t you?” Margaret nodded and looked out the window. Margaret started to panic and said, “no, he followed us. We have to take off. Alpha, luna, Dr. Trey followed us here.” Margaret was shouting and Taylor could smell the fear Margaret had. Taylor stood up and looked out the window. “F*ck, this dude just doesn’t stop does he?” Taylor said and then noticed flashing lights racing their way. “Oh hell no, he called the cops too.” Taylor announced becoming afraid herself. Zag stood up and gave Taylor a kiss. “I will meet you when the plane lands. I am the only one who can take care of this right now. Please, do not worry. They can not harm me.” Zag said to Taylor then looked at Collin and Sarah. “I will handle this and meet you at the destination. You must take off as soon as everyone else is on board. I know it will take a moment to get Mr. Patter on board. It might be wise to carry him at this point.” Zag said to Collin and Sarah. “Thank you Zag. Let them know when you go down there to carry him and get on the jet now.” Sarah said as she looked at her future son-in-law. Zag bowed respectfully and headed off the jet. Taylor did not want him to leave, but she knew that this was the only way. Zag let the last guards know to carry Mr. Patter up to his seat and they all needed to go now. Once they were on the jet, they began to pull away to take off. Dr. Trey became very angry and looked at Zag. “What have you done? I need her back with me.” Dr. Trey yelled at him. “She is not yours to have. She is very sane. If I were you, I would rethink the police getting involved. We have enough evidence to put you away from life. You would lose your license, your facility, your money, and your power. I’m sure that is not something you want anyone knowing what is really going on in the place. It would ruin you.” Zag said with a smirk, knowing Dr. Trey would back down. “Call them off and tell them it wasn’t her. Then you will leave her alone. Trust me, you do not want to come to my world.” Zag said threateningly to Dr. Trey. Dr. Trey swallowed deeply and walked over to the police officers letting them know that it was not Taylor on the jet. Zag smirked and then walked around the building into the shadows where he went back home. Dr. Trey looked around trying to find Zag once the police left, but could not find him. Dr. Trey left and went back to his facility. “I will not give up on this, ever. I have worked too hard to get to where I am.” Dr. Trey said to himself as he kept driving back to his home. Taylor buckled her seat belt as they reached the end of the runway and began to climb in the sky. Margaret looked at Taylor and said, “it’s okay, he will meet us there.” Taylor nodded as she looked out the window. “I know, I just miss him.” The plane finally got fully into the sky and everyone took their seatbelts off. “Excuse me, I’ll be right back.” Taylor said and walked to the bathroom. She walked in and locked the door. “Damnit Zag, I need you with me right now.” Taylor said with a whimper. “My love, I will be back with you soon. I have a couple things to get sorted here and I will rejoin you.” Zag mind linked Taylor. Taylor smiled and said, “okay, I guess I will see you soon then.” Sarah and Collin stood and let everyone know that there were beds for everyone. They were bunkbeds where you only were able to lay down to sleep, but better than sleeping in their seats. Margaret smiled and Scott gently took Margaret’s hand. “So, when will you accept me Margaret?” Scott asked as he gently kissed her hand. Margaret smiled and said, “I already accepted you with my heart. I want to make sure we are safe when we land. I can not lose Taylor again.” Scott nodded, “I know. We will not allow her to be taken by that mad man again. We can watch a movie if you like.” Scott suggested. Margaret smiled and said, “that sounds really nice. Let’s see what movie we can find.” Scott grabbed the remote and push a button that made the television come down from it’s hiding spot overhead. Taylor threw cold water on her face to help calm her nerves. She had so many emotions that she didn’t know exactly how to feel or which emotion she should focus on. There was a knock on the door that made Taylor jump. “Taylor honey, it’s just me. When you get done come talk to us okay.” Taylor heard her mom say. She sighed in relief and realized it was going to take her a little while to overcome all of the trauma she had gone through. She took another look in the mirror and went out into the hallway to find her parents. She felt her hair stand up right with goosebumps. “I’m glad you finally made it back. Did you get everything sorted?” Taylor asked as she leaned back into Zag’s arms. “I did, so now I can be with you for a little while. Oh before I forget, Emberto, Fang, and Icy all said hi and they can’t wait to see you again.” Zag said to Taylor. Taylor smiled and then stood back up straight. “I have to go find my parents. They want to talk with me. You’re welcome to come with me.” Taylor said as she turned and faced Zag. Zag smiled and kissed her forehead. “I will let you have your time with your parents. I have seen you far more than they have lately. I’ll be sitting in our seats waiting for you.” Zag said then turned and walked to the seats.
