The Good News

Taylor watched Zag walk to their seats then went to find her parents. She walked towards the back of the plane and knocked on the door. “Come in honey.” Taylor heard her mom say. Taylor opened the door and walked in. It was a very nice bedroom. It had white walls with a hint of blue in it. There was a large king size bed, a very elegant looking couch and chair. There was a desk and a bathroom attached to it. “Wow, this is a nice bedroom for a jet. What did you need to talk to me about?” Taylor asked as she walked over to the couch where her parents were sitting. Sarah held her arms out to her daughter as she walked over to the couch. Taylor sat down next to her mom as Sarah pulled her into her arms. Taylor laid her head on her mom as her back was supported by Sarah’s body. Sarah wrapped her arms around her and kissed the top of her head. “I am so glad I am able to hold you dear. I was ready to kill that little f*cker. We are very proud of you. We want you to know that.” Sarah said to Taylor. Taylor wasn’t sure what they were proud of her about. “What do you mean?” Taylor asked very confused. Collin sat forward and said, “we are proud of everything you have overcome. You have still managed to graduate high school, find your mate, shift successfully, and survive the bullsh*t in that facility. I know you said you forgive me, but I want you to know that I know I don’t deserve your forgiveness. I hope that you forgiving me is because you wanted to and not because you felt you had some virtue to do.”

Taylor sat up on the couch and looked at her father. “Dad, I forgave you because I wanted to. Let’s face it, you were a down right bast*rd to me for many years. However, you did more than make up for it by your actions. I know how you have been trying to get me out of that facility. I saw with my own eyes how it was very maddening for you to not be able to get me back. I also know that you wanted me back so desperately because you love me and it was for mom and myself. You have more than earned the forgiveness daddy. Please, let’s not relive the past. It is the past for a reason, and I chose to forgive you because you are my father and I do love you. I know you have seen how wrong you had been before. However, I do want to say one thing.” Taylor said to Collin. “What is it?” Collin asked wondering what it was Taylor wanted to say. “If you ever do that to me again, I might end your life.” Taylor said to Collin. Collin nodded and said, “well do not worry, I have no plans on ever treating you like that ever again. Besides, your mom gave me the same promise as well.” Taylor looked at her mom and smirked. “I guess like mother like daughter.” Sarah said as she laughed. Taylor and Collin both began laughing as well.

Sarah then cleared her throat and said, “we have something we want to tell you.” Taylor looked at her mom and waited for her to tell her. “Your father and I are expecting another baby.” Sarah said to Taylor. Taylor had tears fall down her cheeks. “Oh honey, please don’t be upset. I thought you would be happy.” Collin said to Taylor. Taylor shook her head and said, “I’m not upset. I am so happy. I get to have a little brother or sister. This is exciting, but eventually I’ll be with Zag.” Taylor looked down at her hands realizing she wouldn’t be around every day to help with her new sibling. Sarah smiled and gently lifted Taylor’s head up to look into her eyes. “Taylor, you will be able to see your brother or sister how ever often you wish. No matter where you are, you will always be able to come visit or us visit. They will know how wonderful and amazing their big sister is.” Sarah said to Taylor with so much certainty that it filled Taylor with hope. Taylor wrapped her arms around her mom and held her tight. “I love you baby girl. You will always be my child. You are my pride and joy and I know you will be amazing at whatever you do in your life.” Sarah said as she held Taylor. “Your mom is right. You are going to be the best big sister and do amazing at whatever you decide to do in life. We are both very proud of you.” Collin said with a smile. Taylor let go of her mom and stood up to hug her dad. Collin held Taylor tightly not wanting to ever let go of this moment.

Taylor finally let go and stepped back. “So, do you know what you’re having yet? How far along are you?” Taylor asked with a big smile. Sarah giggled at her daughter’s excitement and said, “we won’t find out until I get an ultrasound done. We might be able to get one done when we get to where we are going. No promises though.” Taylor smiled and said, “oh, can I be there for it?” Collin laughed and said, “of course you can. We wouldn’t have told you if we didn’t want you to come along to celebrate with us.” Taylor was so overjoyed with the news. “I can’t wait to tell Margaret and Zag. Oh, did you know that Margaret and Scott are mates?” Taylor blurted out from being so over excited. Her eyes widened and covered her mouth. Sarah giggled and said, “dear, we already knew. We have encouraged her to accept him.” “However, she refused until we had you back safe and sound,” Collin explained to Taylor. “I know, she told me she refused until I was back. I love her, but she needs to also be happy as well.” Taylor said with mixed emotions. Sarah smiled and gently reached and took Taylor’s hand. “Darling, she is happiest when you are with us. She wanted to have you here so you could celebrate with her the good news. We can’t even fault her for that.” Sarah said to Taylor earning a smile from her daughter.

“I am going to go back out there. I do not know when I’ll be going to sleep, but just know, there is a chance that Zag will be in the same bunk with me. Do not worry, we are not mating tonight.” Taylor said noticing the look on her father’s face. Sarah started laughing and said, “we know you wouldn’t mate with everyone around. We understand if he is in your bunk. Isn’t that right Collin?” Sarah asked Collin as she looked up at him. Collin rolled his eyes and said, “I suppose so. I know you’re 18 years old now. I do not want to be around when you two are doing your mating.” Taylor and Sarah looked at each other trying to hold their laughter in. They started laughing loudly not being able to hold their laughter in. “Don’t worry dad, I don’t want to be near you and mom either during such a private matter.” Taylor said as she laughed some more. Collin rolled his eyes and chuckled. “Okay, go out to your mate and Margaret. I do not think we will be awake much longer after dinner. It has been a very draining passed few months.” Collin said as he sat back down next to Sarah. Taylor smiled and said, “okay, I will see you at dinner if I am still awake.” She then left their room and headed to her seat.

Taylor smiled as she saw Zag sitting in the seat reading a book. He stopped reading for a moment and looked up at Taylor. The look he had in his eyes made Taylor feel like he was ready to pounce her. She felt her face burn from embarrassment as she envisioned what he would feel like touching her body. Zag smirked as she sat down and he leaned to the side and whispered, “I wonder what your body will feel like against mine as well.” Zag then sat back straight up and continued reading. Taylor knew her face was bright red. She then mind linked Zag saying, “we are not mating on the jet. I want our first time to be special and away from people.” Zag smirked and asked, “oh, are you afraid people will hear you?” Taylor whipped her head to the side and gave Zag a deadpan stare. Zag laughed even harder as she tried to appear angry. “Maybe I don’t want anyone to hear you and think you are being tortured.” Taylor finished saying with mind link. Zag smirked and asked, “is that a challenge?” Taylor rolled her eyes and got Chloe out of the bag.

Chloe curled up in Taylor’s lap and began purring. “She is such a beautiful cat.” Margaret said looking at Chloe. Taylor smiled and said, “she really is beautiful, but we don’t tell her that all the time. It will go straight to her head.” Chloe lifted and gave Taylor a cackling mockery as if saying, I already know how beautiful I am. Taylor smiled and then looked at Margaret. “Oh I wanted to tell you guys, mom and dad are expecting another baby. I’m going to have a sibling.” Taylor said with the biggest smile on her face. Margaret became excited immediately. “Oh this is going to be so much fun. What are they having? When is she due?” Margaret asked as quickly as Taylor did to her parents. Taylor laughed and they heard, “that’s the same reaction Taylor had.” Taylor and Margaret looked to see Sarah and Collin standing there. Zag chuckled as Margaret and Taylor looked at each other as if trying to figure out why they acted surprised.
