1884 Words
Taylor and Zag got into the vehicle waiting for others to as well. Taylor was anxious about going shopping. “I need to get Chloe some things as well.” Taylor said to her mom. “We will get everything we need there. Is she safely in the bungalow?” Sarah asked Taylor, making sure that Chloe was safe. “Yes, I told her to stay inside and that we would be back. I have her food and water as well.” Taylor answered her mom. Collin got into the driver’s seat and they all headed towards town. Taylor felt Zag put his hands into hers. She turned her head and smiled up at Zag. Taylor saw a few trails she wanted to try out on the way into town. They arrived back into town after a 20 minute drive. Everyone got out of the vehicles and immediately went into the shop with the swimsuits. “I have a feeling I’ll be doing a lot of swimming while we are here.” Taylor said to Margaret. They both laughed and walked into the store with their arms linked together. Zag and Scott looked at each other and knew that they were going to be dragged to every store in the area. Right away Taylor saw the cutest swimsuit she had ever seen. She walked over and picked the swimsuit up. It was a black suit with blue flowers and white skulls on it. The store had one as a bikini and one as a one piece for same design. “Oh I am going to go try these on real quick.” Taylor said and headed to the dressing rooms. A black wrap around for her bathing suit caught her attention on the way to try the swimsuits on. It was the same blue on the swimsuit with black with swirls of black. Taylor found her size and headed into the dressing room. Taylor put the bikini on first and instantly fell in love with how it fit her just right. Taylor took the wrap and tied it around her waist. To her surprise, it looked absolutely perfect on her. Taylor changed back and decided she wanted to continue to see what else they had. Taylor walked out of the dressing rooms and found Zag and Scott talking while Margaret continued to shop. Taylor looked passed Margaret and saw the cutest flip-flops that would go perfect with her swimsuit attire. Taylor picked out a pair of blue and black flip-flops then found another pair that was blue and black. She fumbled to hold everything in her hands and dropped a couple pairs of the flip-flops. Taylor bent down to pick them up when she felt something run into her back end causing her to fall forward. “Oof!” Taylor looked up to see a cart in front of her face. She then noticed behind the cart was a very pretty woman that looked to be about her age. “You need to move out of the way.” The woman said with all her ugliness. Taylor raised her eyebrow and shook her head. She began to stand up when the other woman pushed the cart into Taylor again. Taylor stood up quickly and looked at the woman. “You know you don’t have to be such a rude b*tch. It is bad enough you hit me with the cart to begin with and then purposely the second time as well.” Taylor said as she pushed the cart into the woman causing her to fall down. Taylor picked up her items and saw a pair of sunglasses over by where Zag, Scott, and Margaret were standing and staring at the scene unfold. The young woman quickly picked herself up off the floor and walked to the other end of the store. Margaret turned to Taylor and asked, “are you okay? That was a different approach than before.” Taylor sighed and knew Margaret was right. She wasn’t sure why she snapped like she did at that lady. However, Taylor knew that the days of people treating her like crap were over. “I know I’m not normally such a brute. I think that everything I’ve been through might be why I reacted the way I did. Either way, I am not going to be taking anyone’s crap anymore.” Taylor said as she turned to Margaret. Margaret stared at Taylor for a long moment then wrapped her arm around Taylor. “Girl, where have you been hiding this side of you? I like the fiery Taylor.” Margaret said with a giggle. Taylor couldn’t help but laugh with her. “Let’s pay for our items then hit up the next shop.” Taylor said looking at Margaret then at Zag. Zag could only chuckle as he already knew the shopping had only begun. Taylor and Margaret took the bags to the vehicles and put them safely inside. Zag took Taylor’s hand and they walked back across the street to the next shop. It was a cute little boutique that had all different kinds of clothes, shoes, and accessories. Taylor and Margaret walked around the store and turned when they heard, “hello. Welcome to Mama’s shop. Is there anything I can help you look for?” They saw a younger woman with pretty, thick, and textured hair and her skin kissed by the sun. “Oh, hello. We are here on vacation and we decided we need more clothes.” Taylor said to the woman. The woman smiled and said, “I am Trystan. This store is my mom’s, thus the name Mama’s shop. Is there any style of clothes you are wanting?” Trystan smiled as she patiently waited for their answers. Taylor really liked Trystan. She was so nice. “Hi Trystan, I am Taylor and this is my best friend Margaret. I am wanting to first look at some cute rompers, shorts, shirts, and I’m sure whatever else looks cute.” Taylor said with a giggle. Trystan giggled as well. “Well, it is very nice to meet you both. The rompers and jumpers are over in the corner to your right. The rest is just spread out. We do have dressing rooms for you to try on clothes. If you find anything you like but not the size, please, come up and I will look in the back.” Trystan said to Taylor and Margaret. Margaret smiled and said, “thank you Trystan.” Trystan went to the counter and began scanning items for inventory. Taylor and Margaret walked over towards the rompers and jumpers. They started looking through the racks and Taylor saw a cute romper that was a cream color with a pastel pink that swirled and mixed into the cream color. Taylor found her size and held on to it while she started looking again. “Oh wow, Taylor, look at this one.” Margaret said as she held up a romper that was black with pale blue swirls. Margaret looked at said, “oh they have one in both our sizes.” Taylor giggled and took the one in her size. “These are beautiful. Let’s find one more then try them on.” Taylor said as she began looking again. She went to move a hanger when something caught her eye in between the clothes. Taylor squatted down and reach into the center of the rack. Margaret looked down and asked, “What’s wrong Taylor?” “I found something on the floor. Hang on, I will show you.” Taylor answered as she grabbed it and stood up. It was a beautiful necklace. Taylor inspected it and noted how old it looked. The stone in the middle was black with blue swirls. There were white specs that looked like stars. “Oh wow, this is beautiful. Maybe someone was going to buy it and it somehow dropped down there.” Margaret said not thinking much in to it. Taylor held on to the necklace and said, “let’s go ahead and head to change into these real quick. I want to see how much this is.” Margaret nodded and they headed to the dressing rooms. Taylor walked over to Trystan and asked, “Trystan? Do you have more of these?” Trystan turned and looked at the necklace. “We do not have anything for sale like that here. It looks very old. I will call for my mom to look at it. If it is not hers then I guess you can keep it.” Trystan said with a smile. Taylor smiled and said, “thank you Trystan. I am going to go try these couple rompers on real quick.” Trystan nodded and turned to call her mom. Taylor walked into the dressing room and changed into the cream romper. Taylor smiled and nodded a yes to getting that romper. She then tried on the black and blue one and she fell in love with it. “Oh wow! This material is so light and soft. It feels like it was made for me.” Taylor said looking in the mirror. Margaret then said, “same with mine. I assume you mean the black and blue one?” Margaret giggled when she heard Taylor start laughing. “Yes, the blue and black one. I am getting both of the rompers I picked out.” Taylor said to Margaret. They got dressed and took their rompers up to the counter. “Trystan, is it okay if we leave these up here while we keep shopping?” Margaret asked with a smile. “Of course, my mom will be here in about 20 minutes.” Trystan said and placed their clothes off to the side so that they would not get mixed into the items she was scanning. Taylor and Margaret had picked up 5 pairs of shorts, 7 tank tops, 3 different types of sandals, and a few accessories each in the 20 minutes they waited for Trystan’s mom to arrive. “Oh good morning everyone.” Trystan’s mom said with a big smile. “Hey mama. Taylor found this necklace on the floor hidden by the rack. Is it something we sell?” Trystan’s mom took the necklace and examined it. “No, I have no idea where it came from either. Taylor if you wish to keep it you are welcome to. It feels like it is an old necklace.” Trystan’s mom said as she handed the necklace back to Taylor. “Thank you. I’m so sorry, what is your name ma’am?” Taylor asked realizing she had no idea what to call her. “My name is Sybil, but you may call me mama like everyone else does.” Taylor smiled at Sybil and said, “okay mama. Thank you for your help. I believe we are finished shopping for right now. If we need anything else, trust me, we will be back.” Trystan smiled as she rang up all of the items and placed them in separate bags for Taylor and Margaret. “Thank you both. I have no doubt we will see each other around.” Taylor said and paid for the items.
