Behind The Door

Taylor laid down and felt her body relaxing. She drifted off to sleep and soon she opened her eyes to see she was standing in front of the door. She gathered the courage to put her hand on the door knob. Taylor took a deep breath and slowly opened the door to see what looked like a waiting room. She was very confused as to what all this was. “What in the world is this?” Taylor thought to herself. She walked in and saw a window with two women sitting behind it. She walked up to the window and one lady looked at Taylor and rolled her eyes. “Can I help you?” The rude lady asked. “Where am I?” Taylor asked her. The lady looked at Taylor then to the lady sitting next to her. The lady sitting next to her looked up at the computer and then to Taylor. She whispered something to the rude lady and the lady looked surprised. “Miss Taylor, you may go through those doors over there. He is expecting you.” The rude lady said then went back to filing her nails. Taylor had no idea what was going on. She walked over to the doors and slowly went through them. Her wolf was going crazy inside of her head. “We must be cautious Taylor. Be alert!” Her wolf said to her. Taylor nodded and continued to walk through the open door.

Taylor gasped as she saw the hallway. It was bright and all white. “What in the world is this?” Taylor asked to herself. “This is the hallway to my office Taylor.” A man said from behind her. Taylor jumped and spun around quickly. “Who are you?” Taylor asked trying to calm herself. “I will answer that in time. Come, I have been expecting you.” The man said as he extended his arm towards the hallway. Taylor walked next to the man towards the door at the end of the hallway. “May I ask what your name is?” Taylor asked hoping for at least a name. The man smiled and said, “I have many names. You may call me Zag for now.” Taylor noticed how tall and handsome he was. She for some reason felt warm in his presence. They continued to walk to the door in silence. Taylor wasn’t sure what to say or who would hear her. Zag opened the door and let Taylor go in first. “Ladies first,” Zag said to Taylor with a smile. Taylor smiled and said thank you as she walked into the office. Zag closed the door behind him and offered Taylor a seat on the couch. “Please make yourself at home Taylor. I know you have many questions. Would you like something to drink?” Zag asked Taylor with his devilishly se*y smile. “Yes, please. I am okay with water.” Taylor answered Zag with a little bit of a stutter.

Zag handed Taylor her water and then sat down in a chair next to the couch. Taylor took a sip of the water and sat it on the table. “Why am I here? I have dreamt of that prison and Janet and the others for so many years.” Taylor asked Zag. Zag smirked and asked, “how old are you now Taylor? You will be 18 years old soon won’t you?” Taylor nodded, “yes in a couple of weeks.” Zag nodded and said, “I would like for us to get to know each other. I am aware of why you are here now. You do understand that no outsiders have ever been able to visit here through their dreams or physically? You, however, are different.” Taylor blushed a little at how charming Zag was being with her. “Zag, why do I dream of this place? There are other places as well. I don’t understand any of it.” Taylor said to Zag truly unsure why she kept visiting this place in her dreams. Zag only smiled and then said, “I want us to get to know each other until your 18th birthday. When you turn 18 years old, then we will discuss in detail the reason for your dreams. We must keep you from Dr. Trey’s clutches. He must never know the location of this place. He intends to overtake it and become powerful.” Taylor already knew that. “I know, I figured that out when he demanded the location. He’s a creepy guy and I fear for when I turn 18 years old what he might try. There has to be a way to trick him and imprison him here.” Taylor said to Zag.

Zag then said, “there is a way, but it is far too dangerous to do it alone. You will need my help and the help of a few others. He will never be able to do any harm to you Taylor. Whatever you do, do not allow any man to be alone with you. You are very important to me and this realm. We will make a plan together and make sure that Dr. Trey is put away forever.” Taylor agreed with Zag. Taylor then stopped and looked down at her hands, realizing that Zag was holding her hands. “I miss my family Zag. I miss Margaret, my best friend. I’m suppose to graduate from high school this year and Dr. Trey stole all of it from me.” Taylor said as tears ran down her cheeks. Zag let go of her left hand and wiped the tears that rolled down her cheeks. “You will have all of that again. We will work out a plan to ensure that happens. It is almost time for you to wake up. Come back to me when you go back to sleep.” Zag said as he kissed her hand. Taylor blushed and said, “I will come back when I sleep again. Thank you Zag. Oh, what is this place called? I know it’s not Tartarus.” Zag smirked and said, “you are very smart. It is a prison, but it is not Tartarus. There really is not a name for this place. You must go now.”

Taylor sat straight up in bed, breathing heavily. She thought about Zag and blushed a little. “Did you find the location?” Taylor tensed as she heard Dr. Trey’s voice. Taylor shook her head. “No, not yet. I think I am on the verge of figuring it out though.” Taylor said hoping Dr. Trey would be satisfied with her answer. Dr. Trey nodded and said, “well, that is a step in the right direction. Patty is going to take you on a walk outside in the court yard. You need fresh air and sunlight.” Dr. Trey said as he stood up. “Get dressed and be ready for when she gets here.” Dr. Trey added and then left. Taylor walked into the bathroom and got into the shower. She kept thinking about Zag and how handsome he was. She thought about his dark hair, chiseled jaw line, very built body. Taylor blushed again and finished her shower quickly. She had just finished getting dressed when Patty knocked on the door. “I’m glad to see you up and ready. Let’s head down to the court yard so you can get some much needed sun and fresh air.” Patty said as she waited for Taylor to walk out of her room.

Taylor and Patty made it to the court yard and Taylor breathed in the fresh air. She closed her eyes as she felt the sun shining on her face. “I am close to achieving my goal. I wish we could speak in private without prying ears.” Taylor said to Patty. Patty smiled and said, “come walk this way with me.” Taylor did as Patty said and followed her over to a different area. “Here you can say whatever you want. There are no cameras or microphones.” Patty said with a smile. Taylor sighed and said, “I met the most handsome man in my dreams. He is going to help me with Dr. Trey. We haven’t come up with a plan yet, but we will start soon.” Taylor went to say something else when she heard a “meow.” Taylor smiled and followed the meowing and saw a little kitten. Taylor picked the kitten up and saw the kitten was a girl. Taylor smiled and said, “she’s a turtle calico. She’s so beautiful. I’m going to name you Chloe. I’m keeping her.” Taylor looked at Patty not even letting Patty say no. “You will have to hide her when Dr. Trey comes around. He doesn’t allow animals in the facility.” Taylor smiled and said, “I’m going to need a litter pan and cat food.” Patty shook her head, “you will need to train her to use the bathroom toilet. If Dr. Trey smells the litter it will be the end of Chloe.”

Taylor hid Chloe under her shirt as she and Patty went back to Taylor’s room. Taylor then said, “I am going to need a litter pan to fit in the toilet. I can train her that way and then get rid of the litter pan once she is trained. I will keep it clean and make sure it doesn’t smell.” Patty couldn’t even be upset and said, “okay, I will talk to Mrs. Patter and see if we can’t get something figured out. You will have to keep her quiet though.” Taylor nodded and thought, “let Dr. Trey try to take her from me. I will not allow him to touch her.” Taylor then said, “I will need cat food as well for her. If you need to ask my parents to supply it they will be more than happy to help. When you see them, please tell them I love them and wish I was with them. Tell Margaret I really miss her too.” Taylor gave a sad smile and began petting Chloe. “I will Taylor. You can feed Chloe some table scraps or tuna for now. Use a small saucer to give her water. I will see about picking up a couple of bowls as well.” Patty said to Taylor then she left. Taylor felt her body relax as she ran her hand down from Chloe’s head to her tail. “Are you hungry Chloe? I need to fix dinner. If Dr. Trey comes in you must hide quickly so he can not see you. I will not let him take you away from me.” Chloe gave a soft meow as if she was saying okay.
