Taylor turned the shower on and closed the bathroom door. She opened the sink cabinet and took the phone out. She then dialed her parents phone. The phone picked up and she could hear her mom’s voice. “Taylor! Oh my baby. Are you okay?” Sarah asked Taylor. “I want to come home mom. I miss you. I am hanging in there. I have a kitten. She’s a smart kitten. I can’t talk long, but I needed to hear your voice. I love you mom.” Taylor said with tears in her eyes. “I love you too baby. Hide the phone and get rest okay. We are doing whatever we can to get your out of there.” “I love you too Taylor.” Taylor heard her dad say. “I love you too dad. I hope I get to see you guys soon.” Taylor said and soon she turned the phone off and hid it again. She quickly washed herself and got into bed. Taylor went to sleep fast and she found herself in one of her other dreams. She looked around and said, “sh*t!” Taylor woke up and shook her head. She then laid back down and fell asleep again. When she opened her eyes she was laying on the couch in Zag’s office. She smiled and sat up looking around to find Zag. She stood up and walked around the room trying to find him, but he was no where to be found.
Taylor walked to the door and opened it to reveal an entirely different place that she had ever been. She could hear screams and groans. Taylor walked out of the room and looked out in front of her. It was hot, dark, and eerie. Taylor should have felt despair and sorrow, among many emotions she could have felt. However, Taylor felt, normal, like she belonged. Taylor stood tall and took a deep breath then looked around. The torturing sounds did not bother her. She actually grinned when she heard the sounds. Taylor stopped and thought, “what in the hell is wrong with me? This should not be something I should be feeling a belonging to.” She shook her head not quite understanding where these feelings were coming from. Taylor lifted her head up and followed her instincts on which way she should go. She walked straight in front of her, unsure of why she had some sort of direction to which way she needed to go. Taylor came to a big mountain of rubble and looked around to see if she could find stairs. The rocks were pointy and high. Everything looked gray with a purple hue. She began climbing the stairs unaware she was being watched.
The stairs seemed to go on forever, but Taylor was not tired. She kept climbing and looking around. The higher she got the more she could see. She could see the layout of the land. Rocks, rubbles, and screams all around. She continued to the top of the stairs. She stopped in her tracks as she saw Zag talking to what looked like a female demon. She had a curvy body, human like face, red skin, red eyes, and black hair. She had a tail as well. Taylor felt something inside of her trying to push her towards Zag and the demon. She fought the urge to go rip the demon’s head off as she watched her giggle and place her hand on Zag’s shoulder. A snarl left Taylor’s mouth involuntarily. She tried to hurriedly put her hand over her mouth, but it was too late. Zag turned toward Taylor and his eyes widened. The demon girl gave Taylor a dirty look then crouched down like she was ready to attack Taylor. Taylor raised her eyebrow at the girl and then growled again. Taylor smirked in satisfaction as the demon girl hid behind Zag.
Zag finally collected himself and walked over to Taylor. “How did you get here? I wasn’t expecting you so soon. Forgive me, I was trying to get some information about Dr. Trey and getting an idea of which place would be perfect for him. I want to introduce you to my sister.” Zag said to Taylor. Taylor looked at Zag confused and surprised when he said sister. “She…she’s your sister?” Taylor asked beginning to feel little silly for acting the way she did. Zag laughed and said, “yes, Taylor please come over here and meet my sister, Dilfiri. Dilfiri please meet Taylor.” Zag stepped to the side allowing them both to see each other. Taylor gave a nervous chuckle and said, “hello Dilfiri. I am so sorry that I growled at you.” Dilfiri laughed and said, “well, I suppose that is one way to make an impression.” Taylor stared at Dilfiri for a moment then joined in her laughter. Zag smiled at the pair and shook his head. “You two are going to be trouble together I can already tell.” Taylor looked from Zag to Dilfiri and shrugged her shoulders. “I am innocent. It’s nice to make new friends. I just wish Margaret could meet you both.” Taylor said with sadness in her voice.
Dilfiri frowned and said, “you will see her again. It might just take a little bit. My brother told me of your situation. I plan to go speak to your parents and Margaret soon. We will all need to come up with plans to get this mad doctor trapped and be here for eternity.” Taylor smiled and said, “thank you. I wish I could see them, even if in my dreams. I am going crazy. I want to show them my cat and introduce them to you and Zag.” Dilfiri looked at her brother and said, “why haven’t you just pulled them here while they are sleeping so that they can see each other?” Zag’s eyes widened and said, “Dilfiri, you are a genius. Why hadn’t I thought of that?” Taylor looked at Zag with tears in her eyes and asked, “you mean, you can actually do that?” Zag gave her a sheepish grin and said, “yes, I can. I am so sorry it just never came to mind to do so. We can do that right now if you like. I’d like to go to a more not so scary area. That way they don’t become frightened.” Taylor leaped towards Zag and wrapped her arms around him. “That would be so wonderful, thank you so much.” Taylor said as Zag wrapped his arms around her and smiled.
Dilfiri said, “I am going to come with you. I want to meet them in their dreams so they know to look for me.” Zag nodded in agreement and Taylor smiled. “Oh this is going to be so amazing. Let’s get going shall we?” Taylor said eager to see her parents and Margaret. Dilfiri giggled and walked along side Taylor and Zag. They walked up these gorgeous stairs that were made of glass. “These are so beautiful. Not something I’d picture here.” Taylor said as she admired the little details of the glass handrails. There were fallen angels and angels on the handrails. “It is a stairway between this realm and another one. I guess it would be called heaven and hell according to those who live on Earth.” Zag explained smiling at Taylor who was so intrigued by the design. “so we are going to heaven so that my parents and Margaret aren’t scared? I don’t want to lie to them.” Taylor said to Zag. Zag stopped walking and thought for a moment. “I have a good idea then,” Zag said and snapped his fingers. In a flash, Taylor was standing along a river bank where the grass wasn’t dead, but it wasn’t really green like you’d see on Earth. “This will be a buffer.” Zag explained and then snapped his fingers again. Taylor saw a picnic table appear with food on the table and other food carts around the table. Taylor smiled and looked at Zag. “This looks so good. Thank you Zag.” Taylor said with a smile.
Zag looked at Taylor and Dilfiri and asked, “are you ready to bring them?” Taylor smiled brightly and nodded her head. Zag chuckled and closed his eyes. He concentrated on Sarah, Collin, and Margaret. Soon they were standing by the river bed looking confused. “Where are we?” Sarah asked lookin around. Collin looked around and said, “I have no idea. Are we dreaming?” Margaret turned and spotted Taylor right away. “Oh my goddess, Taylor!” Margaret said and ran over to her best friend. “Oh Taylor, it’s so good to see you.” Margaret said with tears falling down her cheeks. Sarah and Collin both ran over to their daughter and wrapped her up in their arms. Margaret was as well. Taylor and Margaret began laughing. “Mom, dad, Margaret, I’d like you to meet Zag and his sister Dilfiri. This is a dream. However, Zag pulled you to this dream so we could see each other. Zag and his sister are going to help with getting rid of Dr. Trey. Dilfiri will be coming to see you in real life, instead of a dream. She wanted you to see who she was, so that you were not surprised or tried to kill her.” Taylor explained with a smile. Margaret raised her eyebrow as she saw how Zag looked at Taylor. A big grin appeared on her face with her sudden realization. Taylor looked at Margaret confused, then looked at her parents. “Let’s sit down and eat and talk a bit. I want you to know that Patty and Mrs. Patter is helping care for me. I do have a cat as you know. Her name is Chloe. She helps me stay sane.” Taylor told her parents and Margaret. “Oh I can’t wait to meet her. I heard she is very pretty.” Margaret said with a smile. “She really is. She’s smart too. It took me about a day to train her to use the toilet instead of litter box.” Taylor said with pride.
