The Not So Surprisng Lie

Taylor doubled over in pain as she felt her bones breaking and realigning. When Dr. Trey landed on the ground he passed out. Patty and Mrs. Patter ran inside to free Mrs. Patter’s husband. They wasted no time. Dilfiri quickly bound Dr. Trey’s hands and arms. Taylor had not been prepared to shift so suddenly. She was laying on the ground in so much pain. Collin knelt down beside her and said, “it’s okay baby. Let the pain take over. Accept the pain and picture yourself as your wolf.” Taylor screamed as she slowly shifted into her wolf. Sarah cried asking, “why isn’t she shifting quicker?” Dr. Trey began laughing. Margaret turned and asked, “what have you done to her?” “I made sure that the guards turned the fence on. It is infused with wolfsbane. Just enough to slow any wolf’s shift.” Dr. Trey said with a sinister smile. Dilfiri punched Dr. Trey hard enough to knock him out again. They turned their attention back to Taylor to see a beautiful wolf standing in front of them.

Taylor’s wolf was the same color as her hair had turned before shifting. “Oh wow Taylor, your wolf is beautiful.” Margaret said to Taylor. Sarah looked up at her daughter’s wolf and said, “and big.” Collin smiled and nodded, “yes, she is extremely big for a werewolf. However, she is so beautiful. Look at my daughter.” Taylor looked at her parents, Margaret, Zag, and Dilfiri. She shook her fur out and began howling at the moon. Zag looked up at his mate and smirked. “My oh my Taylor. You are very gorgeous. We need you to change back though. Just picture your human self.” Zag explained quickly. Taylor closed her eyes and she shifted back into human form. Zag took his dress shirt off and put it on Taylor to cover her body. “Listen, we need her to lead him to my realm. That is the only way we can get her out permanently.” Zag said to her parents and Margaret. “I want her out of here too, but it has to be done like this.” Zag explained a little more. “Fine, but I’m telling you, I want to be able to speak to my daughter and see her. This business of him secluding her is not okay.” Sarah said angrily. Zag nodded in agreement.

They walked over to Dr. Trey and Collin sat him up and lightly slapped his cheek to wake him up. “We know what you want and why you are keeping our daughter. She will show you what you are looking for, then she comes home, immediately and you will leave us alone. Also, we will have regular visits with our daughter and talk to each other whenever we please.” Collin said to Dr. Trey. Sarah kneeled down and said, “if you or any of your other facility employees put hands on my daughter, I will come and tear this place down, do I make myself clear?” Dr. Trey swallowed and nodded his head. “You are a weak man who thinks he is so cleaver. You truly are not. You remember what we agreed upon. Do not try to keep us from our daughter again.” Sarah continued saying. Dr. Trey nodded and said, “okay. I’ll make sure she is taken care of.” Zag pulled Dr. Trey up to be face to face with him. “You better remember this day and think before you try anything else.” Zag said still a bit angry.

Margaret began to argue and ask, “why can’t we just tear this place down now and take Taylor out of this hell hole? We are way stronger than any of them combined.” Taylor frowned and placed her hand on Margaret’s shoulder. “Maggie, we can’t risk that type of attention. It would bring war. Most humans, well, they can’t handle anything different than what they know. They would freak out.” Taylor said to Margaret. Margaret had tears fall down her cheeks and said, “you haven’t called me Maggie in so long. We will figure out how to get you out of here. I promise you that.” Taylor and Margaret hugged one another. Taylor then hugged her mom and dad. “I will talk to you soon. I love you guys. Please, figure a way out. Thank you for a wonderful birthday and being here for my graduation and my first shift.” Taylor said to her parents. They held her for a few moments then let go. Taylor walked over to Zag and smiled. “Thank you both for coming. I’m so glad I found out on my birthday that we are mates. I’ll see you in my dreams.” Taylor said and kissed Zag on his cheek. Dilfiri smirked and said, “we will talk soon Taylor. Go take Chloe to your room.” Taylor nodded and watched her friends and family leave. Taylor turned around and stared at Dr. Trey. He had an evil smirk on his face. “Oh, I wouldn’t get to c*cky Dr. Trey. The only reason you are alive is because of me. So if I were you, I’d wipe that smirk off your face.” Taylor said and walked over to her bag filled with her presents, picked up the graduation items, and put her arms out for Chloe to jump into her arms.

Taylor walked passed Dr. Trey, who was still sitting on the ground with his hands and feet tied together, and went up to her room. She did not care if he ever came back in. Taylor decided the sooner she got rid of him the better. Taylor got off the elevator and was stopped by none other than Mr. Robert. Taylor was having a really nice day and these dipsh*ts were starting to really make her mad. Taylor went to walk around him and he moved in front of her. “Where are you going in such a hurry?” Mr. Robert asked with his disgusting sounding voice. Taylor sighed and said, “I am heading to my room. You are not suppose to speak to me or be near me. Now please, let me pass.” Taylor went to walk around him again and he again stepped in front of her. Taylor was getting very agitated at this point. “Look can’t you nasty smelling greasy men get it through your heads that I do not want any of you? You are sleazy and disgusting looking. Stay away from me.” Taylor said as her eyes began to turn black. Her wolf started to rise to the surface. “You have dealt with me before and got your as* kicked. Do you want that to happen again? Please, just say the word, only this time, I’ll make sure you can’t walk again.” Taylor’s wolf let out a threatening growl. Mr. Robert took off running like the little b*tch he is.

Taylor smirked and continued on to her room. “Thank you. I am sorry we didn’t get to introduce ourselves did we?” Taylor said to her wolf. Her wolf giggled and said, “well, in our defense, our mate is so hunky and s*xy.” Taylor smirked as she unlocked her door and went inside. Chloe meowed and jumped down to the floor. Taylor shut the door and locked it so no one could come in. Taylor walked over to her bed and sat down. She didn’t know what to even think about today. It was really high and then really low and dark. She also thought, “why is my wolf so big?” Her wolf laughed and said, “okay we need to talk. My name is Blue. When we are able to finally be away from here, we will work on the special abilities that you will possess. You already know about your hair having blue flames around it. That’s one of my favorite cool tricks. It makes us look pretty bada*s. The next one is being able to use our forcefield. That is another favorite of mine. We do have much darker abilities that we will go over another time. Also, check your bag, jacket pocket, and pants pocket.” Taylor giggled at Blue being so long winded. Taylor took her bag into the bathroom and checked to make sure there was still no cameras in her bathroom. She might be paranoid, but she didn’t trust Dr. Trey or Mr. Robert.

When she finally was satisfied that there were no cameras she began looking through her pockets in her jacket first. She pulled out a beautiful ring that had a wolf made of blue sapphires. She smiled at how beautiful it was. She checked the same pocket to find a note. She opened it and smiled. It read;

Dear Taylor,

I hope you like this ring. I had been visited by Blue before and wanted you to have this to remind you of me and to know that I care for you.

Taylor smiled at the note. She was so happy that he is her mate. Taylor wasted no time putting the ring on her right middle finger. It was a perfect fit. Taylor folded the note back up and put it back in the same pocket. “He is so sweet.” Taylor said to Blue. Taylor checked in another pocket, it was empty. She checked the rest but they were empty as well. A pounding knock came from her door. She flushed the toilet so that whoever it was would think she was in the bathroom.

Taylor set her bag and jacket on the bed and walked up to the door. “Who is it?” Taylor asked before opening it. “It’s Dr. Trey. Open this door now Taylor.” Taylor could hear how mad he was. She sighed and opened the door for him. “Did he touch you?” Dr. Trey asked as he checked her over. Taylor yanked herself away from Dr. Trey. She became just as angry as he was. “I don’t understand how you can still have him work here after what he did. He comes up to me like he did again and I will kill him. He’s a creep and a sleazy pervert. Keep him away from me.” Taylor now shouted at Dr. Trey. Dr. Trey looked at Taylor in shock. “I have to keep him on as an employee. He has too much on me. If he does it again I will kill him myself.” Dr. Trey said hoping that would calm Taylor. Taylor rolled her eyes and said, “yeah, ookay.” She walked away from Dr. Trey and gave Chloe some food and water. Dr. Trey stood in the same spot and only stared at Taylor. “You need to get the location of where your ‘mate’ is, so that you can go home.” Dr. Trey said to Taylor, making sure he said mate with noticeable venom in his voice. Taylor turned her head towards Dr. Trey and took a deep breath trying to calm herself down.
