Maya, seeing that Cassian and Dantriel seemed about to attack Fay, intervened, saying,
"Our intention is not to fight; we just want your assistance."
"Well, that's not what this guy's been saying," replied Cassian, shooting daggers at Fay.
Maya jabbed Fay in the ribs, making him wince.
"Ouch, that hurts."
"Apologize, Fay."
"Why should I apologize?"
"For being so arrogant even though we are the ones who need help."
Fay turned his face to the side. Fairies were very arrogant and proud. Although it was true they needed help, he did not intend to retract his words. He knew they wouldn't release their light bearer without a fight and that without threats, they wouldn't achieve anything.

"Fay."
