Hannah entered the club and looked around. She recently broke up with her boyfriend, after she caught him cheating on her, and came to the bar to get drunk and forget all about him. She grabbed her purse closer as she blended in with the bodies on the dance floor. She finally paved her way to the bar and breathed a sigh of relief.
She beckoned on the barman and asked for a shot of whiskey.
“You got it,” he said.
Her eyes darted around the club as she watched people dance. She met her ex-boyfriend in a club similar to that one and had hit it off right from the bat. They had similar interests and the same sense of humor. They’d been together for almost two years before she found out what a huge jerk he was. She downed the shot in a move and whopped.
