"Hey there!" A young good-looking man entered the office with a wide grin on his
face.
She was standing in front of a large window, lost in her own thoughts with her blonde locks
swaying with the slight movement of cool winter breeze. Her deep blue eyes, dark and silent
as a cold night. The milky skin of her cheeks tinged pink but the expression on her face was
stoic as usual.
She thought about her past, the life she has lived and the loss of love that lead her to
be the person she is now. Sadness, anger, regret, lost, loneliness, hatred and a thousand
more emotions crossed her face in a matter of seconds before she was snapped out of her
thoughts by someone calling her name behind her….."Tori?"

After having breakfast alone, he was about to leave when Rebecca shouted from the stairs
"Don't you dare leave without me!". A small smile played on his lips as he turned around to
see his sister ready to fight him, defending herself for being late for office…
"Good Morning to you too Becca!" he said softly as she approached glaring daggers at
him."Oh Good Morning!" And then she burst out laughing to herself.
"You're late….again" he said as he held her shoulders and turned her towards the clock.
"Oh my dear brother! You'll never understand how hard it is for me to get ready this fast!"
She says dramatically and then steals a short glance of his sweet smiling face.
"Becca!" He says reminding her the time she's wasting.
"Come on Dare! Why are you wasting time standing around?" she says, smiling sheepishly
before running out the door.
"My cute annoying sister" he smiles and murmurs under his breathe while walking out.

A lustrous black Audi A4 stops in front of Smith Enterprises building, standing tall with its
pride glory. The guard standing in front stepped forward and opened the backseat door for
him.
"Good Morning Mr.Smith, Miss Harrington!" The man greets with a smile as Darren
steps out of the car followed by Rebecca. He returns the gesture by a slight nod before
heading into the building. Everyone greets them as they pass by, most of the female staff
watch him with dreamy eyes as he walks past them. Rebecca holds back her laugh seeing
the ladies drool over him. However, she can't hold it back for long enough and breaks into a
fit of laughter the moment she enters his office."O my god! did you see that? The looks those
beauties were giving you." She said batting her lashes and clasping her hands together with
a dreamy look in her eyes.
He looked at his sister, disgusted by her usual habit. "Becca! you're supposed to focus
on work in the office, not 'girls'." He scolded his sister even knowing that there was nothing
to be said to stop her from teasing him. "Oh come on Dare, don't be shy. I know that
someone lives deep down in that stone heart of your's." She said freely as she sat on a sofa
in the corner and picked up a magazine. Darren froze in his place. His expressions
hardening, Rebecca's words hit him hard as a memory flashed in his mind….
(Flashback)
He walked out of the class, holding her hand. She looked up at him with a lovely smile
across her lips and her cheeks tinged bright pink as she found him already staring at her.
"Darren", she whispered his name to bring him back from whatever trance he was in. But he
was so lost that he couldn't hear her so she nudged his elbow. His eyes widened in alarm
and suddenly said "What?", clearly startled while she softly chuckled covering her mouth
with her hand. He smiled to himself rubbing the back of his head as he realised what has
happened.

Victoria turned around only to meet his dark brown eyes filled with concern.
"Are you alright?", Bryce asked her, walking towards one of the armchairs and sitting across
her. She came forward and sat down on her chair, smiling at the concern and worry in her
friend's tone.
"Don't you worry Bryce! I'm fine."
"You sure? You don't look like you're fine." He said narrowing his eyes at her.
"Oh yeah? How do I look like then?" She raised an eyebrow and asked him.
"Ummm….I don't know. You look a bit...tensed?" He said suspiciously.
She rolled her eyes and faked a laugh, not meeting his eye."Come on Bryce! You can't say
that to a business-woman. Yes I have some pressing matters at hand but I'm not worried
about it. It's a part of business life. What is there to fret over?"
"Okay, okay you win." He said, hands raised in surrender."I don't wanna argue with you on
that." He said as they both chuckled.
