Chapter One: The Wedding That Never Happened
The wedding hall was full of whispers. Shadows moved along the walls, and the candle flames flickered nervously. Tiabeanie stood at the altar, her hands shaking. Her heart was beating fast. The groom Fenris, first son of King Vlad was not there. The King’s anger filled the room. Guards ran around, trying to keep order, but the wedding was in chaos. Guests whispered and looked at each other, confused and scared. An older woman stepped forward. Catherine. Her eyes were sharp and serious. “Something is wrong,” she said quietly. “How did you get here?” Tiabeanie thought back to what had happened. It started at her home. Everything had been quiet, normal… until King Vlad arrived. His men tied her to a chair, holding her tightly. “You have no choice,” he said. “You belong to another world now.” She had tried to fight, but she was human. Her home smelled like old wood and a little of her cat. Suddenly, it was gone. King Vlad took her to his mansion. It was huge, dark, and very old. Only him and his guards had ever been inside. Portraits on the walls seemed to watch her. Then a strange door appeared. It glowed strangely. Before she could understand, she was pulled through it. The world twisted, and she was gone from everything she knew. Back at the wedding, whispers were louder now. Tiabeanie gripped the altar tightly. She was scared, confused, and trapped. Catherine came closer. “If you need anything, Tiabeanie… call my name. I will hear you. Tiabeanie did not understand everything yet. But she knew one thing: her life had already changed forever. Time was the slowest it had ever been, she fought back tears, tried to suppress the fear in her but she couldn’t , it was a dream. It had to be a dream, those were the only words that could make everything going on feel less intense. The door creaked open, Tiabeanie quickly wiped the tears on her face as a young lady made her way through the mess on the floor “Don’t cry dear, I understand your situation. You see, the king sent me to you so everything would turn out fine . I’m Vespera, Your personal maid and assistant. Do you need anything?. Tiabeanie rose her gaze, “To get the f**k out of here , That’s the f*****g least any of you assholes could do for me right now”. She couldn’t sleep, knowing that she wasn’t where humans lived. Her heart raced, The extreme quietness and blowing wind from the open windows scared, everything about the castle made her skin crawl. Tiabeanie walked down the stairs, She refused all food and was now starving, she found the kitchen. Dimly lit and filled with a thick stench of alcohol then did she see, a shadow emitting a dark presence, One she’s never felt all her life, it was suffocating, intoxicating, felt like hell and before she could turn back she felt it. The gaze of him. The one person emitting such darkness and void, She trembled. Fenris stood like he owned the shadows. Darkness seemed to cling to him, twisting and moving as if it had a life of its own. Every step he took made the air heavier, colder, and Tiabeanie felt it pressing against her chest. He was tall, strong, and impossibly sharp. Pale skin glowed faintly under the candlelight, but it wasn’t soft—it was dangerous. His eyes were dark, piercing, and full of something that made the blood in her veins run cold. Even standing still, he felt alive in a way that scared her. The shadows stretched from him across the floor, curling toward her like smoke. Every breath she tried to take felt thinner, harder, as if he was sucking the air from the room. She couldn’t move. She couldn’t even think. This was pure evil, raw and dark, and it was looking right at her. Then a whisper. “Tell me… who dares stand here?”.
