The battle so far was in our favor. The James Cook had destroyed a carrier, at least five freighters, and over two dozen fighters. The ship had taken some serious hits and was open to space in several areas. The fight was far from over.
“Status reports.” Captain Gorshin was happy, his ship and crew had performed admirably so far.
“Sir, engineering reports that repairs have begun, Lieutenant Lee says that all major repairs will be patched and resealed within two hours. Medical is reporting lightly sustained injuries and five deaths due to decompression. All other systems are normal and functioning within standards.
