Chapter 18 Engineering was a mess. The torpedo strike above the engines opened our compartment to space. Ensign Johnson, one of our new officers, was sucked out of the breach to her death. Alarms were sounding, and my command and control board was lit up like a starry night. I saw legs sticking out of a pile of packing crates.
