Chapter 9

Lily:

The music is pumping and the drinks are flowing. The White Wolf is an amazing club here in Cherry and one perk about this town is that it’s the only town in the state that allows 18 years and older to drink. I don’t know how they did it, but I’m not complaining. Also, the White Wolf it’s just for wolves. This place is open to the humans as well unlike some of the clubs near packs.

I don’t agree with that, but no one asked me.

Emily and I are sitting in our VIP both on the second floor looking at the people below.

“Let’s do tequila shots!” Emily yells

“Heck yes! Don’t forget to ask for a bottle of wolf bane either, or you won’t feel anything.” I say

She nods her head and waves over our bottle girl.

“Good evening ladies. What can I get y’all started with?”

“We’d like 8 tequila shots, one bottle of wolfs bane and anything else Lily?

“Yes, a bottle of champagne as well.” I say

“Alright, I’ll be right back ladies.”

A few minutes pass and she comes back with our order.

“You ladies enjoy your evening.” She says and walks away.

I turn to Emily and raise my shot.

“To you my dear friend. Tonight is the last night for us to be single together. You will be the most beautiful bride and one day mother. But tonight, we drink like there’s no tomorrow and wake up in bed wondering how we got home.”

We throw the first shot back and both make a face. She grabs the wolfs bane and I grab the bottle of champagne.

“Okay Lily, we gotta finish these shots fast.”

I laugh at that, “Okay okay I’m trying give me a second. I need some more courage to come to me.”

“ 3.. 2.. 1.. GO” I yell as we drain the last three shots.

“Gosh I hate that crap!” Lily says

“Then why do you always make me take it?” I ask

“Probably because even though we hate it it’s still fun. Now come on let’s go dance!”

We walk down the stairs and head straight to the center. Hotel Room Service by Pitbull is playing and this song is still great as the day it first came out.

We dance in circles for a little together then I feel two hands on my hips.

I look at Emily just in time for her to smile at me and give me a thumbs up.

I continue to dance with the stranger for a couple of more songs, but deciding I’ve had enough and try to start dancing with Emily again when he pulls me back.

“What’s wrong baby?”

Ew.. I hate when men say that to me. I turn around and with I nice smile on my face,“Oh nothing, I’m just going to go back and dance with my friend. Thanks for dancing with me though.”

I step away again from him as he then grabs me and spins me around and holds me tight against his chest.

“I think you’re going to stay right here. Your friend is fine dancing by herself.” he tells me as his finger go up my back and grab the back of my neck with his other hand and smashes his lips to mine.

Alex:

We arrive at the club and decide to get a VIP table. We are just going to watch them and make sure nothing happens to them and then once we see them leave we will follow them home.

It takes us about 10 minutes to find them on the dance floor.

What I see next has me ready to kill a man. She’s dancing with a another man. After I told her to not do anything stupid!

“Get mate and go home now. Show her what happens when she doesn’t listen.” Axel says

“Buddy, I’m pissed but we can’t do that just yet. If I start that now she may try to reject us. We’ve got to go about this a different way until she’s marked.”

I block him out because I don’t need the distraction.

“Alex we may have a problem.” My bother tells me

“What’s wrong? Is she still dancing with him?”

“No.. she tried to walk away twice and he wouldn’t let her. He actually forced himself on her.”

I see red. I look over the railing and see her struggling, but she’s no match for him.

I use my wolf speed and grab him off of her. I punch the guy four times before I feel Dereck pull me off of him.

I look over and find Lily and do a once over. She seems fine no marks on her but her eyes tell a different story.

I pick her up and she doesn’t try to fight me because of her state of shock. Emily and Dereck run out behind us.

Dereck hops in the drivers seat of suv with Emily in the passenger side while I sit in the back and hold Lily.

“Lily are you okay?” I ask after we’ve been driving awhile.

She looks up at me and shakes her head yes.

“I’m sorry, I don’t know why I acted like that. I was just so scared when he grabbed and forced himself on me. I mean dancing is one thing, but not understanding the word no is different.” She says

“It’s okay Lily it’s not your fault. No man should touch you like that especially once you’ve said no once.” I tell her

She looks at me and shakes her head in acknowledgment before she lays her head on my shoulder.

I hold on to her for the rest of drive home and stare at her peaceful face.

I wanted to rip her new one since she did exactly what I told her not to, but the sheer shock and panic in her eyes made me hold back. I’ll talk to her about dancing with other men later on. Tonight she needs to be cared for.

We arrive back at the pack house around 12am and I take Lily to my room. I don’t want her alone after what just happened.

She may hate me in the morning, but at least tonight I know she will be safe.

I place her in my bed and walk to my suit case and grab some fresh clothes to change into.

I get back in bed and pull her close to me. She might not feel the bond yet, but I know us being close tonight will bring some peace to our minds and for us both to get a good nights rest.

With one last look at her face and a kiss to her temple I lay back and let the darkness take me.
