Chapter 8
Lily:
After dinner Emily and I retire to her bedroom after she’s says goodbye to her mate for the evening.
As soon as we make it in her bedroom she pins me to the ground and says, “Spill it Lily every detail.”
I look at Emily and give her a mischievous smile.
“Well Em, he basically told me our bond was unique and that he was going to wine and dine me until I could feel the bond. However, he told me to basically not make him jealous and to not run away.
First I’m going to make him jealous and second I couldn’t go two steps so running is not an option in the first place.”
“Lily..how are you going to make him jealous?” Emily ask
“Simple. I’ll start back up on my training starting Monday and with all those unmated males around me and sparring with me it will be easy. Second we are going out tonight to the club. For one he will be jealous and two because you’re getting married in a week and you need to have a fun night out.”
She screams bloody murder in my ear at hearing the word club and tonight.
“FINALLY LILY!! I really thought you forgot about doing something fun before I got married. YES! OH MY GOSH WHAT WILL WE WEAR!?”
I laugh at her excitement.
“Well it’s funny you ask because you remember that shipment last week you got? Well.. I already have our outfits go get the box.”
She runs to her walk in closet and grabs the box and pulls the outfits out.
Hers is a white dress with a short hemline and a deep dip down with a diamond choker necklace to match. While mine is black with a black diamond choker.
“The dresses are from me and your parents bought us the diamond chokers.”
She grabs me for a hug and I can hear her get chocked up on her words.
“Thanks Lily.. you’ve always been here for me even while you’ve been gone this means so much to me.”
I hug her tight as I can and get chocked up on my response.
“Emily, I’d cross mountains for you girl. This isn’t anything.”
Our hug last a couple of more seconds before we decide to pull away and get ready for the night.
Alex:
While the girls went on with their night Dereck, Alpha James, Beta John and myself go to Alpha James office.
I’ve only been in this office a couple of times throughout the years.
He has a huge mahogany desk with a floor to ceiling bookshelf to the left wall. A mini bar up next to the right wall with a dark green couch and two dark brown chairs sitting in front of his desk. Pictures of his family over the years hung on the walls and in various picture frames throughout the office.
My brother and I take the chairs and turn them towards the couch where James and John are sitting.
We each bring the whisky glasses to our lips we brought with us and sit in silence until one of us breaks the ice.
“I hope you don’t mind Alex, but I invited Lily’s uncle and aunt to come. They need to know.” Says James
“That’s fine with me, but for now it stays between us six.”
A couple of minutes later Lily’s uncle and aunt walk in.
“Good evening Alphas and Betas.” They both say
“If you don’t mind me asking why are we here?” Her aunt ask James
“Well Rose.. I think you’ll need to take a seat for this. Here take mine.” he says
She sits down and waits for the news to break.
James speaks first, “Rose? Do you remember the legions of the mad wolves? How it comes around every few hundred year when an Alpha is mated to a human?”
She nods her head
“Well today we found out Alex here is mated to Lily.”
The air in the room went cold.
I have to say I’ve never been so uncomfortable in my entire life.
“I’m sorry, I really don’t understand what’s going on here. So what that Lily is mated to an Alpha. I’m mated to you Rose and you’re a werewolf.” Alex her uncle says
If looks could kill everyone man in this room would be six feet under.
“Alec. This isn’t a normal situation if Lily is mated to an Alpha this is more. Humans are only mated to Alphas every few hundred years because it means war is coming. Not only a war, but it means that Alex here could lose himself to his wolf if Lily can’t bring him back. This war will not last one night. The legions have said it will last until all the Alphas are dead who choose to side against the mated pair. We better hope it doesn’t last more than five months or it will be harder for Alex here to control his wolf and if he does lose control we all better hope Lily can bring his human part back or she will only have his wolf part for the rest of their lives.” Rose says sternly
Well..she did not sugar coat any of that for her husband, but she didn’t need to this is serious.
Alec speaks again, “What causes the legion to start and why do other Alphas not lose their humans sides when we have battles of smaller accounts?”
Im the one to speak now.
“We don’t know. It could be over anything from land, a love child,a woman or just wanting to take down the biggest pack. It could be over anything and there’s nothing to stop it. Also, it’s Mad Wolves because our wolf goes crazy to try and take control after a certain period of time. So we need our human mate to keep the wolf side down.”
It goes quiet for a couple of minutes for everyone to really take in how serious this is.
“We need to make sure our two packs start training harder and you Alex need to hurry up mark and mate with her before all this goes down. I know Lily is hard headed but you’ll need to wear her down as fast as you can. She’s the key to keeping you here.” Beta Johns says
I nod my head at him in agreement.
“Well you better start winning that girl over or we are so fucked.” My brother says to me and to that comment I smack him across the back of his head.

After another hour of talking Lily’s aunt phone rings.
“Sorry gentlemen I need to answer this it’s Lily.”
My wolf perks up at the mention of her name.
“Listen in. I need to hear her voice.”
“No! That’s rude dude we are not doing that.”
“It’s not rude she’s our mate! Do it or I’ll make your life hell for a while.”
I decided right then I would listen to the conversation. Being on the wrong end of your wolves punishment is not fun. It’s still not polite, but I do wonder what my little kitten is up to.
“Aunt Rose I’m letting you know I’ll be home late tonight. Emily and I are celebrating her bach trip tonight at the wolf club in town.”
“Okay hunny thank you for telling me be careful and text me when you get home. I know you’ll probably stay here at the pack house, but I still need to know your safe.”
“Yes Aunt Rose, I’ll be staying there and just so you know we will be at the White Wolf. I love you and I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Love you too be careful.”
She hangs up and walks back over to us.
We stay a couple more minutes and then Dereck and I decide to head towards our rooms.
As we walk down the hall I stop and smirk and my brother.
“Why are you smirking at me?” He ask
“Did you listen to the phone call?”
“Yeah, did you?”
“Well of course I did. What do you say?”
“I say, hell yeah!” He laughs
