Chapter 23

Lily:

It’s been a couple of hours since we had our morning chat.

I was a little freaked out when Alex and Axel both talked to me. But Alex came back and told me only alphas can do that. He said he has never done it before, but wanted me to know he heard me say I love him.

It was not at all, how I pictured saying those words. I really wanted him to say it first. But what’s done is done and I need to move on.

Right now, we are headed to the training fields. One Saturday a month here at Black Moon, they have a course day. It when all the pack members come at the end of the month and see how much they’ve progressed on their training. This is my first time to see how everyone does. I’m excited because every pack member is there, from young new borns to grandparents. It seems they have something for everyone. Many might not be able to protect the pack anymore, but they do keep up their strengths and stay in shape for health reason.

I look around when I see a familiar face and walk over.

“Did hell freeze over? Or are we in hell? Because the Emily I know would never be caught do any type of exercise course.” I say to her

“Gosh I don’t want to talk about it. Alex told me I had to come to the course. Girl.. he is even making me train. My own dad didn’t make me do that stuff. But you know what, I’m glad I did because all of these she wolves stare at our men.”

My heat drops at that and I look around at all the women and she is right, they are all checking out our men. My fist clinches and I’m ready to knock out every b***h here.

I’m so glad I’ve decided to stay here for good. I never thought, about any of them trying to steal him when I wasn’t here because everyone has been so welcoming, but I guess that was all show.

“Do they do this every time they are near?”

“Yeah.. sorry to burst your bubble, but these girls are nice to your face and even my face, but when we aren’t around they flirt hard. One time, I was going Dereck office to see if he wanted to go eat lunch and I found Tiffany that blonde b***h over there in his office. Her dress was so short I could almost see her butt checks and the top of it was so low, I thought her boobs might pop out and land on his desk.”

“Did you do anything to her?”

“I was about to, but before I could Dereck told her to never come to his office again dressed like that. If she did he’d let me rip her to shreds.”

“Wow impressive.”

“It was and at first she just had this dumb look on her face like she didn’t know what he was talking about, but then I made myself noticeable to her. She won’t try me, but you need to be watchful of these bitches.”

She is right about that. I guess you can’t trust everyone.

I’m glad, Emily is here and she’s gotten the feel of this place. It’s going to be a long road ahead for me.

After the course day, we all took the afternoon off and enjoyed each other’s company.

I’ve taken into consideration on what Emily was telling me about the girls here. I know I haven’t been her full time and that’s on me. However, things are about to take a turn and those girls are going to fall into line or leave this pack. I’ve also decided tonight, I’m going to tell Alex I’m moving in. I was going to wait until tomorrow, but I just can’t get Emily’s words out of my head and I don’t want those girls to think they have a chance. I’m his mate for crying out loud!

I look over at him across the living room as he his making me dinner. I didn’t even know he knew how to cook. I’m impressed for sure. No shirt, just pajama bottoms and barefoot. Damn that is sexy.

“Kitten calm down, I can hear your heartbeat way over here.” He says to me and he’s right. My heart is racing like a race horse.

A few minutes pass before he sets the table for us to eat. We are having steak with lobster and a side of bread and Italian noodles. I can already tell I’m going to stuffed from the steak alone.

“So what did you think about our little event today?” He ask

“I think it’s great, and you know it gets everyone in the pack involved. I love how you care that everyone can contribute to being better for this pack. A lot only think warriors can defend packs, but I’m glad to see you care about the omegas as well. It’s also nice to see, the young and older wolves out there as well. It’s great for the pack dynamic and just a fun day for everyone in general.”

“That’s what I thought too when I started this training a couple of years ago. I want everyone to be better, and be better version of themselves. They all seem to enjoy it as a fun pack activity as well. They all hated it at first, but it’s gotten better with time and they all love it. I’m glad you like it as well.”

We finish eating our dinner and start picking up when I get the feeling that this might be the perfect time to tell him I’m staying.

“So I’m done with my internship and have all this free time now.” I start off saying

“Yeah and I’m glad you finished that and don’t have to go back for another week or is beat the s**t out of that guy.”

“Yeah I glad as well. But since I’m done, I think we should talk about our next steps.”

He stops washing the dishes and looks at me.

“You want to finish school still, don’t you?”

“I do. I have just two more years left. So it won’t be too bad. But I’ll need to focus if I do online classes. Like have my own school room for those hours I’m in class.”

He nods is head at me in deep thought.

“What is it that you want Lily?”

Oh my gosh.. I’m about to do this. I went from getting away from everything to now ending up back were I started. I think my throw up.. this is like basically being engaged and married all in one day in the human world.

“Lily, look at me kitten.”

I look up at him and he moves closer to me and cups my face.

“Are you saying you want to stay with me? Do online school, but be here with me.”

I shake my head yes at him.

“Words, I need words.”

“Yes.. I want to move in with you and I want to do online school. I want to be your mate forever Alex.”

Next thing I know, his lips crash down on mine.
