I stepped out of the suv and the most amazing scent hit me full force. It smelled like early spring with a hint of lavender.
My wolf Axel was going crazy in my head “Mate go find mate she’s here”
I walked around the suv and the smell was stronger and that’s when I saw her and growl ripped through me as I finally said the words I’ve been waiting to say for 14 years.
“Mate”
She was standing a little too close to my brother and I didn’t like her standing too close to him.
I don’t care if he’s my brother she’a mine.
I walk closer to her and realized she looks like a deer caught in headlights frozen solid.
“Mine” I said again, but she hasn’t said anything.
That’s when I realized she’s Emily’s best friend.
She’s the human girl.
My mate is human.
Not that I’m against that but Ive never wanted a human mate because of the legion.
It’s said that the Moon Goddess only gives human mates to an Alpha when war is coming because an Alpha will lose his human side in battle and only his human mate can calm his wolf and bring the human part back.
