Chapter 13

Lily:

To say I’m s****l frustrated is an understatement. I’ve got to get out of here before every male wolf comes for me.

I quickly put on clothes and run home. I’ve had men dry hump me before, but my gosh I thought I was going to c*m on his leg. I need to get home and finish the job.

I quickly, get home and lay on my bed.

I think about what happened in the steam room and run my finger against my c**t. I’m soaked again as I rub my fingers and c*m I’m no time.

Tonight, I’m having dinner with my family. We are having chicken and dumplings with green beans and corn bread.

This is one of my favorite dinners.

“Lily, how was the club last night? Did you girls have fun? My Aunt Rose ask

“Oh yes so much fun! I’m glad we went.” I reply

“Well that’s good sweetie. Also, we met your mate last night why didn’t you say anything?”

“Oh yes, I just forgot you know because I’m human I don’t feel the bond get. Since we just met. Wait how did you know about him?”

“That’s okay, he seems very nice and we are all happy for you. We went up to the house last night to visit with Emily parents”

I shrug my shoulders at that. My aunt and Emily’s mom got really close because of us.

“I hope you finish school though. That’s very important as well Lily. My sister and brother in law would’ve wanted that for you.” Uncle Alec says

“I know.. and you know what I’m going to finish school. So don’t you worry uncle.”

“Good, and remember you start your internship in two days. You’ll only be there a month so focus. The mate can wait.”

He’s right, school and internship come first. Mate is second.

“But you both liked him though?” I ask

“We did. But Emily you know how the mate bond works you’ve been raised by wolves your whole life. Do not make that man wait very long. He needs you and being an alpha is different than a regular wolf. Everything is heightened, so you need to be honest with him about your dreams. He will give them to you. It’s okay for you to get to know him better before he marks you, you just don’t need wait too long or he might do something you don’t like.” My Aunt Rose tells me.

We finish dinner and my cousins and myself head off to bed for night.

I toss and turn for a couple of hours. My Aunt Rose is right.. I don’t need to drag this out with Alex like I wanted too. I’ve been raised by wolves I know how the bond works. But I’m allowed to get to know him better before anything happens.

I grab my phone and text Zack.

“Hey I know it’s late, but wanted you to know I’ve found a mate. I know crazy, but I need to give this a shot.”

That sounds good and I press send.

A couple of minutes pass when I get a notification back.

“Damn. Well I hate it, but I’m happy for you. But I’ll still see you around?”

“Yes of course! Have a good night Zack:)”

“Night.”

Well that was a step in the right direction. Oh gosh! This man, has me wrapped around his finger and I’ve only known him 24 hours. What is wrong with me? Wait could it be the bond? If it is, it’s crazy how fast it works.

Eventually, sleep finds. I dream of a black wolf with black eyes. I’ve seen the wolf one another time before, but where?

Alex:

Man, today has been a mess.

After what happened in the steam room I had to go take a cold shower or I would’ve mated and marked her right there.

“She was just beautiful beneath us.” Axel says

I smile just thinking about it.

“Yeah she was buddy.”

“Do you think I could ever come out and talk to her?”

“Yeah.. just not yet okay?”

“Okay.. but do you think I could get a run in tonight?”

I laugh at that.

“Yeah after I finish eating this dinner.”

Ten minutes later I step outside and strip.

I transform into my black wolf with my black eyes.

I love it. No one can see me in the dark. My own camouflage.

I let Axel take control for our runs. He runs for about an hour in the woods. In that hour we pass other wolves and ate three rabbits.

However, I got a feeling Axel wasn’t ready to head back. He kept running past houses until he finally stopped at one.

“Mates house.” He says

“Dude why are we here?”

“Felt her struggling to sleep through the bond. We need to be close to her, but don’t worry she’s calming down.”

I can’t believe he felt that. Though we are both individually connected to here so he will feel things stronger than I will.

Next, both Axel and I freeze when we see here Aunt open the back door.

“I know you’re out there Alex.” She calls to me

I shift and walk up to the door and she hands me some shorts.

“Thank you and sorry my wolf wanted to come. He could feel Lily struggling to sleep..”

“Oh and you didn’t want to see her?”

“Yes..but it would been weird to you know just show up and look outside her window.”

My gosh she’s making me nervous. What is wrong with me?

She chuckles at me.

“Alex. It’s okay, I’m a wolf too I get it. We actually brought you up tonight. I told her I went to see Emily’s parents last night because we couldn’t make the dinners i she thinks we just happen to run into you.

Her uncle wants her to finish school and so does she. It’s important and her parents would’ve wanted that too. Don’t push her or she will run. Support her and everything will fall into place.”

“I can do that. It’s just weird though for her to continue school when she won’t need it. But if it’s that important to her and her parents I’ll support it.”

“Actually, you own a lot of business Alex near your pack and what Lily is going for could help the pack in many ways. Come in side and we will talk.”

We head inside and down a short hallway take a left and there is an open kitchen. We sit down at the table and I motion for her to begin.

“So what Lily is going to school for has to do with finance. The job she is interning with for a month here at the pack is Wolf Investments. Everyone in the pack has an IRA to save up for when we retire and the pack puts money back for various reasons. It’s an income in ways down the road or just stock market playing. Lily wants to do this and since our pack started each family and our pack as a whole have made money. We were able to purchase more land and start construction on different business adventures. Just think about it okay. For a future Luna to serve and look out for her people.”

I think for a minute and I do own a couple of business back home and she’s right. My construction company and two coffee companies have some form of retirement accounts. If I were to open an investing company, Lily could do it for the pack and some humans and the pack could make money off it.

I will have one smart Luna on my hands.

“I like it. You know what, I actually love it. I will look into opening one and when she graduates I will gift it to her. I will find someone to work there full time and she can come and go as she pleases.”

Her aunt smiles at that.

“Good. Now, I also told her to not waste time with you. She grown up around wolves and knows how the bond works. She’s been around the humans too long and it’s time for her to take her place where the moon goddess has called her. If I were you, I’d take her on a date as many as you can because the bond will grow faster. The more you are around her the more it grows. Remember war is coming and we need to act fast.”

Damn! Rose is a smart lady. I like her for sure.

With a couple more minutes of talking I get up to leave. Her aunt stops me and points up. I stare at her confused.

“Boy I know you aren’t dumb.”

Really, because I feel dumb.

“Wow maybe you are. Go sleep in her room. When she’s out she’s out. Plus it’s good for the both of you.”

With that I head up to her room and follow her scent.

I open the door and there she is asleep looking very peaceful.

I get in and wrap my hands around her waste and pull her towards me. The sparks go up my arm and I relax. Once last look and I kiss her goodnight.
