Lily:
I wake up the next morning and everything that happened last night rushes to the front of my mind. I’m so embarrassed. I told him I was a virgin! He spanked me for rolling my eyes at him and I liked it!?
I don’t think I can face him. I think I’m going to have to act like I died in my sleep.
Damn it I wish I could mind link Emily to come save me, but no I’m human.
“Kitten I can hear your heart beat a mile a minute. I know you’re awake.”
Moon goddess please take me now.
I roll over and look up at him and he’s f*****g smiling. Oh that asshole.
I take my hand to playfully smack him when midway he grabs my wrist.
“There will be none of that. But glad to see you’ve got some claws.”
He pulls me on top of him and kisses me.
I relax into him and he deepens the kiss. I pull away and hide in his neck.
“Stop overthinking what happened last night. I actually love it that you’re a virgin. Even if you weren’t, it wouldn’t change my mind. You’re my mate and I only want you.” He kisses my temple with that and I ask the stupidest question ever.
“So are you a virgin?”
He gives me the “are you f*****g serious” look.
“That’s a no then?”
He sighs and runs his face with his left hand.
“Yes Lily it’s a no. I waited until I was 22 before I started sleeping around because I hadn’t found my mate. But by the time I was 28 it just didn’t feel right anymore. So I stopped.”
Wow he stopped.
“Why did you stop?”
“Because I didn’t want my mate to be embarrassed by me being a man w***e. Granted I’ve not sleep with a lot of women but enough. So I decided to stop. It’s been six years so when we decide in the moment the time is right for you you’ll be the first one in a long time.”
I smile at the fact he stopped for his future mate, but it does make me upset he couldn’t hold out like he was at the beginning.
“Hey kitten don’t get all sad. I’m sorry I didn’t wait like I should’ve but I’ll make sure to make it up to you for the rest of our lives.”
I nod my head at him in agreement and decide to get up for the day. I have to help Emily pack before they leave today for Black Moon.

“Are you sure you can’t come?” Emily ask me as we are carrying her luggage down the stairs.
“Yes I can’t leave yet. I still have three weeks of my internship.”
“You know , it’s going to kill both of you being so far away.”
“I know, but I need to do this. I can’t quit.”
“Um I beg to differ, but sure.” She says
We load the last bag when both Dereck and Alex come out to the suv. Derek and Emily say goodbye to her parents as Alex holds me and ask the same question Emily did.
“Kitten just come with us. I promise you can finish school and I won’t mark you until your ready. But it’s going to kill us both being away from each other with the bond being so strong.”
I know he’s right, but I need to finish what I started.
“I know, but I need to finish this internship. I’ll come very Friday to visit.”
“Lily.. if you come you’re never leaving.”
My heart flutters at that promise.
“I’ll leave, but then I’ll be right back.”
“Fine, but I’m sending one of my top warriors over here to be your body guard until you take your rightful place as my Luna then my gamma Sean will be your guard.”
I try to argue, but he holds up his hands.
“Don’t. I’ve already spoken with Alpha James and he agrees with me.”
“Screw them both then,” I think to myself.
Before too long everyone moves away from the suv and they drive off. I’d be lying if I didn’t say my heart didn’t hurt.
But I go home for the evening and get everything ready for tomorrow at work. I’ve got three weeks left then I can go to Blood Moon for good.
Yes, I said good and no he doesn’t know that.
Alex:
It’s been a couple of days since we left Blood Stone and let me say I am one sad wolf. Only two more days until she is here but I don’t think I can wait that long. I can’t eat and I can’t sleep without her.
She is my life support.
I do FaceTime her every night but it’s just not the same has having her in my arms.
“Hey dip s**t are you listening?” Dereck my brother ask
“Mmm no sorry I wasn’t.” Not even going to lie to him.
“Well you should because there’s a rogue problem on the south border.”
Well crap now I feel like an asshole.
“Well start again and I’ll listen this time.”
“Anyways I was saying, that we’ve had six rouges in the last couple of days since we’ve been back. Usually we have a couple a month passing through but not this many and it’s the same six every couple of days. Something isn’t right I can feel it. Should I capture any the next time?”
“Only capture if they start something. If not try to have a normal conversation at first. Also what’s the ratio? All males? Females?” I ask
“Males.” He says
Mmm I don’t like that.
“Young or older a males?”
“Younger can’t be older than 19.”
Okay I still don’t like, but at least they are younger.
“Stop them and ask what they want. There’s a reason they keep coming back.”
“Okay will do.”
With that he stands and bows his head then leaves me alone in the office.
Fuck, a rouge problem. Six and they all keep coming back. I wonder what that could mean?
