The Queen

Chapter 3

3 weeks later

I woke up in the morning at 8. The first time in literally 3 weeks I didn't wake up throwing up. I got out of bed walking over to the closet grabbing a pair of short jean shorts and t-shirt. I changed into them still in the closet not feeling like picking up my other clothes so I just left them walking out of the closet walking over to the stand up mirror on the other side of the door of the closet.

When Julian walks out of the bathroom I'm standing in front of the mirror looking at my already bulging stomach. I looked like I was 5 months along already.

Julian walks up behind me wrapping his arms around my waist laying his chin on my shoulder saying, "Good morning beautiful."

I roll my eyes, saying, "I'm not beautiful. I'm fat."

` He chuckles saying, "ur not fat ur pregnant."

I just roll my eyes pushing him away as I go into the bathroom and pee.

After I get done I come back out and Julian is sitting on the bed smiling at me. I roll my eyes as I go to walk out the door, but Julian pulls me back to him, wrapping his arms around my waist.

I pushed him away, turning around as he stood up. He grabbed my hand as we walked out the bedroom shutting the door behind us.

We walked down the stairs and into the kitchen where my mom is cooking bacon and blueberry waffles. My dad is sitting at the table doing his normal thing.

He looks at us as we walk in.

I sit down next to him slouching because I can't sit up straight without my back starting to hurt as Julian sits next to me.

Dad leans over and rubs my belly smiling. I just roll my eyes glaring at him growling softly, my eyes turning silverish as my wolf starts to come out.

He sits up surprised, moving his hand saying, "Someone's in a bad mood."

I glare at him growling showing my canins.

He looks at Julian. Julian just shrugged saying, "I think she woke up like this."

I then look over at Julian glaring at him growling at him the same way I just did to dad.

My mom hearing me growl at the men turns around saying, "Ok enough." as Rob and Bill walk into the room sitting down at the table as I take a breath my canines disappearing and my eyes going to the normal color.

Rob gives mom a serious look asking, "What's going on?"

Mom looks at him saying, "Your little hormonal sister keeps growling at your father and your brother in law."

Bill and Rob look over at me saying, "Really? What's the matter?"

I glare at everyone. Rolling my eyes I stand up and walk out the door.

Julian sighed standing up following me. He walks out the door finding me sitting on the ground with my hands covering my eyes while I cry.

He walks over to me sitting behind me, his legs out straight and wrapping his arms around me leaning his head on my shoulder. He whispers asking, "What's wrong baby?"

I ask, through my hands, "Why am i so fuckin hormonal?"

Julian whispered, "It comes with being pregnant, baby. Maybe we can talk to your mom and see if she can make you a doctor's appointment."

I nod my head.

Turning around in his lap wrapping my arms and legs around him hiding my face in the crook of his neck as he wraps his arms around me.

We sat there for a good 10 mins just hugging each other.

Mom opens the door, saying, "Breakfast is ready whenever you're ready."

Julian nods his head saying, "Ok we'll be in, in a few minutes."

She said, "Ok." turning around going back into the kitchen leaving the door open.

Julian whispers in my ear, "Are you ready to go back inside?"

I just nod my head lifting my head as he stands up picking me up with him. I unwrap my legs, my shirt riding up to above my stomach and arms standing up pulling my shirt back over my stomach. Julian grabs my hand as we walk inside, shutting the door behind us.

We walked into the kitchen sitting at the table. our plates are already in our spots.

After breakfast. Julian, Rob, Bill and I decide to go into the living room to watch tv. Mom and dad clean the kitchen.

Julian sits in the recliner as I look at him sadly going to go sit on the couch but instead he pulls me over to him saying, "Where are you going?"

I answer, "We're not both going to fit in that chair, I'll break it."

Rob and Bill say, "You two sit on the couch."

Julian sighs standing up and pulling me to the couch as we both sit down. Bill sits on the recliner as Rob sits next to me as he picks my legs off the floor laying them on the couch as I lay my head on Julian's lap.

Julian turns on the tv putting on Arrow knowing that all of us like it.

About half way through the second episode I fall asleep.

Bill grabs the blanket that's on the back of the recliner standing up walking over to me and covering me up.

After about 3 more episodes Bill and Rob decide to go outside and train. Julian turns off the tv. Carefully lifting me into his arms, careful not to wake me he carries me upstairs and into our bedroom. He moves the covers on the bed laying me on the bed then covers me up.

He then walks out the bedroom quietly closing the door and he goes down stairs looking for mom.

He finds her in the bathroom cleaning. He asks, "Lillian?"

Mom turns around saying, "Julian, how many times do I have to tell you to call me mom?" smiling chuckling.

He chuckles saying, "Sorry... Mom?"

She smiles more widely saying, "Yes Julian, how can I help you?"

He answers, "Would you be able to make Shawna a doctor's appointment?"

She chuckles saying, "I was wondering when one of you was going to ask."

He said, "Yeah sorry it took so long..."

She chucked, saying, "It's fine."

He goes to turn around but she said, "Ik there's something else you want to ask, so ask."

He looked at her surprised, asking, "How'd… you know?"

She just chuckled. Taking off her working gloves and walking to the living room, Julian followed.

They both sat down as he asked, "Do you think Shawna's happy to be becoming a mom?"

She chuckled saying, "I know she may not act like it, but yes Shawna is very happy. She's always wanted to be a mom. I just think right now she is scared. You have to keep in mind she is only 16. Yes you may be 18 but she's only 16 so honestly she is probably terrified that once this baby is born that you will leave. Let me tell you a secret…” She pauses sighing as she continues. “Shawna isn't my biological daughter."

He looked at her surprised, asking, "What do you mean?"

She chuckled, "I already knew she hadn't told you. But she's known since she was 4 but she doesn't like talking about it because when her biological parents found out she was a girl they abandoned her when she was born. My husband and I took her in as our own. The only people who know are her brothers, her best friends, my husband, myself and now you. That's why her wolf is different from any of ours. We didn't think she would be as different as she is because her biological parent's wolves are the same color as my husband's and mine. You do have to keep in mind she is the only daughter of an alpha so she is very rare. But i think the thing that mostly scares her is the fact that deep down even though she won't admit it but she thinks she is a screw up she's worried that this baby is going to be just like her a screw up. Even though we all know she isn't."

After talking to mom for a while. Julian heads back upstairs to the room where I am still asleep. He quietly opens the door, walking in, closing it behind him. He walks to the other side of the bed. laying down curling me up against his chest falling asleep.

Next time we wake up it's around 4 o'clock because we smelt food.

We get out of bed walking out the door and downstairs hand in hand heading to the kitchen where my mom is cooking dinner. She is making chicken and dumplings.

When we walk into the kitchen we see that Dad is nowhere to be seen. I ask, "Where is Dad?"

Mom answers, "He is in his office." not turning around from that pot she's cooking in.

I ask, "What's he doing?"

Mom said, answering, "He's probably talking to one of the other pack leaders about the rogue problems they've been having lately." as we sit down at the table.

Julian looks at mom surprised, saying, “Why didn’t anyone tell me we’ve got a rogue problem?”

Mom looks at him saying, “Because it’s not your problem Julian, Your problem is sitting next to you carrying your baby.”

I look at my mom irritated, saying, “I’m not a problem. If Julian can help, let him help.”

Mom looks at me saying, “Shawna, Julian needs to take care of you.”

I growl my wolf coming out, saying through my canines, “I can take care of myself.”

Julian takes my hand making my wolf calm down and go back in my eyes changing back and my canines disappearing.

I look down at the table saying, “Sorry.”

Mom chuckles saying, “Sweetheart it’s ok. But as the future alpha’s of this pack you need to stay safe. And as the future alpha that you are carrying whether it’s a girl or boy we need to keep the budle safe.”

I roll my eyes, letting go of Julian’s hand and crossing my arms over my chest and looking away from mom and looking at Julian glaring at him.

Mom and him both chuckle.

The food starts to smell like the bottom was burning so mom walks over to the pot and stirs soup.

Mom turns the burner to low and grabs bowls out of the cupboard. As Rob and Bill walk in from outside from training. They sit down as mom dishes up some of the food into 4 bowls and hands one to each of us.

As we dig in, mom says, “I’ll be back, I'm gonna go get your father.”

We all nod our heads.

Mom chuckles, as she kisses my head, as she walks out of the room.

When she comes back into the room, Dad, hand and hand, and two tall men are behind him one looked about dad’s age and the same height as dad and a younger one about Julian’s height and age.

Mom smiles. And introduces the two people behind them, saying, “This is Alpha Derek and his son and future alpha Jake.”

Julian and I both look up saying, “Hi.”

Bill and both nod their heads.

Mom introduces us, saying “This is my daughter Shawna, the future Luna of the pack. And her mate Julian.” gesturing to Julian and I with her hand “And this is my sons Rob and Bill both the future bata’s.” gesturing to rob and bill with her hand.

Derek and Jake both say, “hi.”

Mom announces, “Derek and Jake are gonna have dinner with us tonight and then Joseph and then are gonna go back up to the office and talk about the rogue problem.” taking a deep breath she adds, “And Rob, Bill, Julian you can join them because they need the muscle.”
