Reunited

Ace It had been 2 weeks since we found Jasmine. Although all the Hawks in that room were de*d, I still wasn't at peace. She still hadn't woken up. I had her moved back to town so she could heal closer to me. Maybe that makes me fu*king selfish. But I wanted her home. Her home. Our home. The doctors were able to get the bu*let out of her chest. It missed her heart by millimeters. But it did do major damage to the rest of her chest cavity. After a 9-hour surgery, they were able to stabilize her. But she never woke up. She still had normal brain activity. They thought that this was her body's way of healing. Like a long nap. I would wait forever for her. And when she woke up I'd be there. Whiz and Diablo, along with Alex, had come by frequently to visit. Bringing flowers and balloons. It meant a lot to me, and I'm sure it would to Jasmine too. "How's it going man?" Whiz had just come by to bring me new clothes." "Same." I grunted. "Still stable, still asleep." "She'll wake up Ace. She's tough as h*ll. She just needs some time to heal." I fu*king hope so. "What if she doesn't forgive me? I don't think I can let her go. Fu*king selfish but I can't imagine letting her go." "She will. What happened was fu*ked up. She'll understand. That was against your will and that sh*t is not cool. That bi*ch shouldn't be breathing." He was right. I felt dirty as fu*k after that. Totally violated. I never would have touched her if she hadn't dru*ged me. Hatchet had given me time off to stay with her. And I hadn't left much at all. Showering at the hospital, I would occasionally leave for food, but it tasted like fu*king cardboard. My head was a mess. I fu*ked up so badly. I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't want anything to do with me when she woke up. And although I would fight like he*l for her, if she really didn't want me anymore, I'd let her go. I refuse to be like those pr*cks. Keeping her hostage, not allowing her to live or breathe. I had just gotten back from getting more tasteless food. I walked into the room and stopped de*d in my tracks. She was awake. Doctors and nurses surrounded her. Changing out IVs, taking vitals. I couldn't breathe. My eyes stayed on her the entire time. Then she looked at me. I felt like she was looking into my soul. And she broke. Tears flowed from her eyes and down her cheeks. Sobbing. I felt my gut twist. After the medical staff were done, I was still standing in the same spot. She was staring into her lap, hands fidgeting. Jasmine "I'm sorry." "Kitten, you have nothing to be sorry about." "I put you and your club in danger. I thought if I gave myself over you guys wouldn't get into any kind of feud. Was anyone hurt?" "No Jasmine. No one was hurt." Hatchet appeared out of nowhere. I flinched. He has to be slightly annoyed he wasted resources rescuing me. "Ace. Give us a minute." He nodded. Looking me over again. And left. "I'm so sorry Hatchet. I really didn't expect you guys to find me. I figured if I skipped town you would be in the clear." "Stop!" He snapped. He sighed. "I'm sorry," Jasmine. I don't mean to sound harsh. I guess I'm more annoyed you think we wouldn't look for you. You are claimed. One of us. Of course we would come for you. Not to mention my Sargeant at arms seems to have fallen head over heels for you." I laughed. Choking back tears. "He feels obligated. Nothing else." He sighed. Taking the seat next to my bed. "I know what you saw, at the clubhouse." I looked down knowing I had no business being pissed off. The whole reason I left was because someone who was not my significant other slept with someone else. How selfish I was. "He was dru*ged." My eyes snapped up. He smiled. "That night, that bi*ch slipped him a roo*ie. He wasn't even conscious, didn't remember a thing the next day. I know Ace Jaz. He never would have risked what he had with you. I've known that boy since he was 15. He never held any interest in women, besides what a young man is normally interested in. We are pigs" He winked. I laughed. Choking back a sob. "My whole point is that man was a wreck when you left. He never stopped looking, he*l he didn't sleep or eat. He might pretend he doesn't need anyone, but he does. And you? You made him smile. I've never seen him happier. He might have pretended he didn't need a woman, but he needed you. Just, don't give up on him. What happened was a crime against him. People think men can't be ra*ed. But he was. He never would have touched another woman. He only has eyes for you. So be easy on him." He kissed my forehead and left. Ace opened the door and sat down next to me. I didn't even give him a chance. Just assumed the worst. Not to mention he was assaulted. Suddenly, the floodgates opened. Ace I don't know what Hatchet said to her but I kind of wanted to punch the fu*ker. She was sobbing. What the he*l? "I'm sorry Ace. I'm so fu*king sorry. I didn't know you were assaulted. I just assumed you left to go get laid." No. My kitten wouldn't cry. Not on my watch. I stood and wrapped my arms around her. "Don't cry baby. I swear to you, I'm not mad. I don't blame you. Sh*t look at how I acted after a lap dance. I would have exploded if I had seen what you did. I'm sorry you had to see that. That bi*ch is gone. Banned from the club. I don't want my di*k buried in anyone but you. " I barked out a laugh and hiccuped. A week later I insisted on leaving. I was so tired of staring at the same ceiling for the past week. I planned on going back to my apartment, but it had already been rented out. I guess a hotel it is, until I can find something. Since Knives was gone, I decided to stay here in town. I liked it here. And I liked the MC. Even Alex had been keeping me company when Ace had club business. She turned out to be a good friend. She was sweet. And she told me a bit about her past, which was shocking. But she was strong. And I envied that. Leaving the hospital, I opted for a cab. Walking towards the street, a huge truck pulled up to the curb. And out popped Ace. "Your chariot awakes ma'am." He winked. After helping me into the truck with my belongings, he drove off. "You can just drop me at the Super 8. I'll stay for a bit until I find an apartment. Probably should get back to work at some point." He gripped the steering wheel hard, hard enough his knuckles turned white. "No. You will not. You're coming home with me kitten. I'm taking care of you for now. If you want to go back to work soon, by all means. But for now I want you home and resting." It didn't sound like such a bad idea, but I didn't want to feel like he had to do it. That he felt guilty. "Ace, you don't owe me anything. If anything, I owe you." "Its not like that, kitten. I want to take care of you. I want you home. It hasn't been the same without you. It doesn't feel like a home." I smiled and nodded. "Ok." "You don't need to feel guilty kitten, but for that little stunt putting my girl in danger, you definitely need a spanking or two, maybe even a flogging." My eyes went wide. "W-what?" "Technically, we still have a contract, not like I give a sh*t about it. And I plan on taking you into my dungeon sometime soon and playing with you all night, kitten." "You're lying. You do not have a playroom in your house." I was shocked. And equally turned on. A dungeon, aka playroom? Playing with me all night? I was ready to jump his bones right here in his truck. "I never lie kitten. When you are feeling better we'll have all sorts of fun sh*t to discover." "I feel better now! I haven't had any pain medication in a week and my incision is all healed!" He laughed. Fu*king laughed. Bastard. "Oh kitten. The things I'm going to do to you I need to make sure you are 100% healed for. Although your eagerness is hot as fu*k. One week. One more week and I promise I'll be making till you beg." I chewed on my lip. One more week Jasmine. You can do this. I hope.
