Ace
It had been 48 hours since Jasmine left, and I had no idea where she had gone. Doc had me take a blood test and sure enough I had Rohypnol in my system. To say I was pis*ed is an understatement. Luckily for Lyla, Ratchet banned her. Sick bi*ch.
We had word out to the sister chapter in the surrounding states. Whiz had been getting CCTV from cameras around town, and she definitely was heading south.
I fu*ked up. I knew I did. I fell hard for her and should have told her this. Not like it would help since she saw Lyla riding my limp di*k, but maybe I never would have gone to the clubhouse without her. And I wouldn't have been dru*ged.
Fu*k I missed her.
The next day, Whiz had found some info and camera footage from a small town in South Carolina. It showed Jasmine with a group of bikers at a diner. My blood ran cold. It was the Hawks. And she was sitting on someone's lap. I'm assuming that fu*k Knives.
Zooming in and cleaning up the footage as much as Whiz could made it easier to see her. She was scared. Bruises visible on her face. Head down. I'm assuming the old pri*k next to her was her so-called father.
She had turned herself over to them. To protect the club, to protect me.
And I would get her back, and end those fu*kers lives.
The next day, we honed in on where they were staying. Some seedy hotel on the outside of town. I had been literally vibrating all day waiting to leave. Hatchet noticed and took me aside.
"How ya holding up?"
"Not great." I ground out.
"Look, I'm going to give you the same advice I gave Diablo when his girl was taken. Hold yourself together. For her. We can't afford anyone losing their cool before we get her."
"Ya, I got it. It's fu*king hard. The last time I talked to her, I told her we weren't together after I had just gotten pis*ed about her giving some guy a lap dance. I told her I had no business being jealous. I'm sure she thought I didn't care. But I do. More than I knew." My throat tightened. "If I lose her I'll never fu*king forgive myself. I don't even know if I'll be able to go on."
"Don't think like that, Ace. We'll get her back. And then you spend the next lifetime making up for it. Once she hears you out she'll understand."
I nodded. God, I hope so.
We left in formation to pounce on these pieces of sh*t. The whole drive all I could think about was wrapping her in my arms and not letting go. Also, I thought about how I would punish her once she hears me out. Handing herself over to them definitely earned a flogging at least.
We parked a few blocks away from the hotel. We could hear the obvious small party from outside the window. I wanted to go in g*ns a blazing but knew how stupid that would be. Instead, we had Clown approach the door, pretending to be a hotel employee coming by with a noise complaint. Diablo and I stood on either side of the door.
After a few minutes of knocking, someone finally opened the door.
Jasmine
It had been three days with the Hawks. I had never been so grateful to be on my cycle. Knives was disgusted by it and wouldn't touch me se*ually.
Thank fu*k.
The thought made me want to vomit.
He didn't, however hold back on my beating he said I deserved. I was fairly certain I had a pair of broken ribs.
But after that, he calmed down. He stopped the beatings for a bit. I think he was just happy he finally had his way. Me back with him. His possession. His toy.
I didn't want to leave Ace, but after seeing him with one of the club girls, I couldn't stomach to see him again. No, we weren't together, but I thought at the very least he would abide by one of the points in the contract that stated neither of us would have se*ual contact with anyone else. I was sure he was getting back at me for the lap dance, and that sh*t was ridiculous. Fu*king men.
I really didn't want to think of all MC men the same. Sleazy a*sholes who only think with their d*cks.
But here I am. Back with Knives. Sitting on his lab in this trashy hotel room.
"I'm gonna knock you up, baby. As soon as we are back home, I'm putting my heirs in you." He slurred into my ear. I shuddered. No. Never again. I'd k*ll myself before that happened.
Most of the men were hammered by now. Talking club business. My dad was in the corner sipping his whisky, laughing at some crude joke his Sargeant at arms was spewing.
Then there was a knock on the door. Most of the guys drew their weapons, Knives pulling his signature hunting knife.
"Stay put. You move an inch, I'll sli*e one of those tats of your body and keep it in a jar."
My blood ran cold. He would. He absolutely would. The door swung open and, after a couple of minutes, chaos ensued.
G*n fire erupted. Yelling. And then I looked at my father. De*d. Lifeless in the armchair he was sitting in. Bul*let right between his eyes. Ace. He came for me.
He looked crazed. Hair wild. G*n pointed right in the middle of Knives eyes.
"End her!" Knives shouted.
Before I could move, Frankie had his g*n trained on me. Sh*t. I heard the shot. Red-hot pain shot through my chest and arm. Then darkness.
Ace
As soon as that fu*k shouted out to end her, I pulled the trigger. He went down like a ton of bricks. Quicker de*th than I would have liked, but my only concern right now was Jasmine.
All the Hawks were down. I ran over to Jasmine, and she was bleeding out. Fast. I ripped my shirt off and held it to her chest. Fu*k. No. Did she get hit in the heart? My ears started ringing, and I could barely make out Hatchet barking out orders.
Suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up and saw Diablo. He was talking, but I couldn't hear him past the thumping of my pulse in my ears. He pulled me back and tried to pick Jasmine up. I pushed him away and grabbed her, pulling her to my chest.
"Ace! We got the truck pulled up. Let's go! We'll get to the ER faster than an ambulance can bring us. I ran. Not even feeling my legs move. I jumped into the back seat and laid her down on my lap. She was breathing but barely. About 10 minutes later we were at the entrance to the ER. Shouting, pushing. I couldn't make out voices. Then a nurse was grabbing her from my arms and placing her on a gurney. I chased after them as they pushed her towards a set of doors.
Then I felt a pair of hands pulling me back. I tried to fight but was turned around. Hatchet.
"Stop man. Let them work. Let them do what they need to do. For her."
He was right, I knew he was. But not knowing what was happening made my head spin. I cant lose her.
I fu*king loved her.
