Ace
I woke up the next morning to an empty bed. I hope I didn't scare her off. I know she's vulnerable but I didn't push her too far.
I took a hot shower and got dressed. Heading to the kitchen, I was hit with the smell of coffee and bacon.
She cooked for me? I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I cooked for her last night. But something twisted in my gut when I stepped into the kitchen. She was wearing one of my t-shirts. It landed just above her knees. She was listening to heavy metal. Rammstein to be exact. She was a metal head too? Fu*k she was perfect.
I stepped behind her and wrapped my arms around her. She stiffened initially but relaxed in my arms. Looking over her shoulder, she had a heaping plate of pancakes and bacon, along with cut-up fruit.
"I hope you don't mind. I figured I would return the favor. And I saw how much you can put down, so I made lots."
"Not at all kitten. This is your home for the time being too."
For the time being. That made my gut twist. I don't know what it was about her. Actually I do know, it's everything. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't scared. I was slowly letting this little kitten claw her way into my heart and did not know how to digest these feelings. I turned her around and kissed her gently.
"So, it looks like Trixie's is opening back up. Ratchet texted me this morning. He said you can start working tonight if you want." Although the thought of other men gawking at her made me uneasy, the lap dances made me even more uneasy and slightly home*cidal.
"Ya, I need to. It was amazing of Hatchet to pay us while it was closed. I feel like I need to return the favor and get back to work."
"I'll be there tonight. We amped up security. If those di*k heads try anything tonight they may not make it out alive. What time are you going in?"
"Probably 5 ish like before. It'll feel good to get back on stage. It's empowering, ya know?"
Sure I knew. But it still didn't make it easier for me. Not only did I have to worry about that fu*king Knives guy, but I also selfishly wanted her to myself. I only wanted her dancing for me. But I needed to stuff that feeling down. The last thing Jasmine needed was a man telling her what to do. Outside the bedroom that is.
"Ya, I can see that. How you would feel free. I know you like it. And don't worry, I won't let anything happen."
She smiled, kissing my cheek.
After breakfast, I needed to get some work done. Jasmine wanted to go get some things in town, so I put a prospect on her. By the time she got back, she needed to get back to work. I decided to drive her myself. She had slightly protested. I knew she missed riding her bike, but until this sh*t was over I insisted.
Jasmine
I stepped into Trixie's and was instantly nervous. Not for dancing, but because of the threat of the Hawks. I knew Ace had it under control.
After taking to the stage, I did a couple of numbers and then headed to the bar. A middle-aged man approached me for a lap dance. I knew Ace had been watching me all night. He stayed off to the side, but his eyes never left me. But I hope he knew he couldn't follow me into the back rooms.
I finished the lap dance and made out with a hefty tip. Leaving the room, I slammed right into Aces' chest. Had he been standing outside the entire time?
"Finished kitten?"
I looked up to his face and was shocked by his expression. He was pissed but clearly shoving it down.
"Um ya, I'm going to clock out, and then I'm ready."
"Great."
He turned on his heel and stomped away.
What the fu*k? Was he jealous?
Ace
Ya, I was fu*king jealous, and I don't know why. She does this for a living and has for a long time. But standing outside that room and imaging her grinding on that scumbag made something inside of me snap.
After driving Jasmine home, some of the anger had subsided. I felt like a cave man. Wanting to keep her locked away.
"Ace, what's wrong? You've been distant since we got home."
I sighed, looking up eyes boring into hers. She flinched. Sh*t!
"Sorry kitten." Getting up and wrapping my arms around her.
"I don't know what the fu*k is wrong with me. Guess some jealousy and I have no right. We aren't together. "
She stiffened. What the hel*l?
"Ya, you're right. We aren't together. So keep your jealousy at bay. After a month you can fu*k whoever you want and so can I."
She pryed herself from me and left for her room.
Dam*it. I didn't mean it like that. Me and my big fu*king mouth.
The next night, I drove her home from Trixie's, and she immediately went to her room. I didn't mean to hurt her. But if she wanted more from me, she could tell me.
Fu*k this. I'm going to the clubhouse for a drink. Maybe I can clear my head.
After a couple of hours of shots with Whiz and Diablo, I was feeling good. I left for the bathroom and when I came back, Whiz and Diablo were gone. Probably getting laid. Good for them. A shot was sitting on the table. Assuming they ordered me one more, I downed it in one gulp.
Sitting by myself at the table, I started to feel warm. I took my jacket off. Da*n, they have the heat turned up or what? That's when it hit me like a train. I blacked out. And then the worst night of my life started.
Jasmine
I felt bad. I shouldn't be giving him the cold shoulder. I decided to go to the clubhouse to apologize. We weren't together officially, so I don't know why it bothered me.
Arriving at the compound, there was clearly a pretty good party going on. I walked into the main room. Looking around for Ace.
I approached Whiz.
"Hey gorgeous. What are you doing here?"
"Looking for Ace. I need to talk to him."
"He's up in his room. Upstairs last door on the left."
I walked up the stairs and right up to the door. I heard moaning and my heart dropped. It probably wasn't him. I hope.
I opened the door, and right there in front of me was Ace, getting ridden by some tiny blond. Neither of them saw me. I saw red. Guess he really meant we weren't together. Tears stung my eyes but I held back. I turned to leave and ran into someone. Looking up I saw it was the Aces friend, Whiz. He looked at me, then up at the scene I had just witnessed.
"Jasmine right?"
"Ya, Aces toy."
He flinched.
"Hey I don't know what's going on, he's drunk. He's not thinking clearly. He was used to doing this sh*t before you came along. I'm sorry "
"It's fine. Tell him that the contract is null and void. I'll be out of town by tomorrow morning. I'll make sure the Hawks know."
"I don't think that's a good idea, Jasmine. Hear him out. It's dangerous for you out there."
I laughed. "No thanks. I've been doing fine on my own so far. Thanks Whiz. See ya later."
He looked like he wanted to stop me but didn't push.
Ace
The next morning I woke up with a splitting headache. I was in my room and my head fu*king hurt. What the hell happened? I didn't even drink that much.
After showing and dressing I headed downstairs. I sat in the booth across from Whiz. For whatever fu*king reason he did not look happy.
"Have a good night?" He spat out.
"Uh, I guess. I don't remember much. Guess I can't handle my booze like I used to."
"Ya, apparently not. It's too bad, you could have had a good girl."
"What the he*l are you on about?"
"Jasmine came by last night. Was looking for you. I told her where to find you. Apparently she walked in on Lyla riding you."
WHAT?! No no no no. This can't be happening.
"I have to get home. Something's wrong. I didn't even drink that much."
"Save it. She's gone. Probably out of the state by now. I tried to stop her, but she wasn't having it."
My heart shattered. No. This can't be happening. She's mine...
