“I love you,” she said and I did not know what to answer. What did she mean? Why is she saying this now?
I moved aside still dumbfounded with her confession and she came in.
“Stephen, I owe you the truth, I know I do. But, I know when you find out you will never look at me or think of me the same. What you said today got me thinking and I understand why you wanted to forget about me and I’m sorry I did this to you.” She started and I listened.
“I’m getting married and that won’t change, but I didn’t want you to move on thinking I never thought about you or that I stopped loving you because I do, I love you, Stephen.
