“I feel like that I am so pretty; people picture about raping me.” -Keely James
September 13
“Well, it’s been pretty common lately.” The same detective continues speaking.
I just play with my fingers and think about all this.
“Okay, so now what happens?” Keely’s mom asks them while clearing her throat.
“Well, we just get the DNA samples on Keely’s body, and when the coroner sends it to the police.” The second detective tells everyone.
Kylie just sighs and stands up, making Peter stand up as well.
“I’m going to go, just let me know what you find.” Kylie sighs and then storms out of the office and then walks out of the building.
“Hey, are you okay?” Peter asks his girlfriend once they get to her car.
“Nothing about this is okay.” Kylie mutters and unlocks her door.
Peter sighs and then walks around the car and gets in the passenger seat.
September 18
Kylie lets out a sigh and takes a seat at the front office.
“Kylie Jacobson.” Kylie’s guidance counselor yells out.
Kylie stands up and grabs her backpack and cellphone.
“I’ve been wanting to speak to you for a while now.” The woman tells the young girl once she takes her seat.
“Well, I’m here now.” Kylie tells the woman in kind of a sassy tone.
“So, have you applied to any colleges?” The woman asks Kylie.
“Maybe like five so far.” Kylie says while crossing her leg.
The counselor smiles and then pulls up Kylie’s record on the computer.
“I hope that they are good colleges you applied to.” She tells Kylie while looking at her carefully.
“Um, I guess one of them is.” Kylie says with a sigh.
“Oh, which one is it?” The counselor asks Kylie.
“Um, Princeton, I just applied to there because it is my dad’s alma mater and he said that he wouldn’t be upset if I don’t go there.” Kylie tells her while gripping her phone tightly.
“I see, well, can you tell me what schools you do want to go to?” She asks Kylie while taking out a pen and giant notepad.
“Um, Texas Tech, Oklahoma state university, and Marshall University.” Kylie explains while poking her cheek.
She really hates doing this.
“Those are only four, and they are so far away.” The counselor says while clearing her throat.
“Well, I want to get far very far away from this place.” Kyle says truthfully with a sigh.
She’s just done with the whole Keely situation, and truthfully, if she stays here and goes to the college close by here, she’ll go crazy.
“Well, can you tell me what the last college you applied to?” The woman asks Kylie carefully and softly.
That woman too lost her childhood best friend, when she was twenty, so she feels for this poor teenage girl, losing your best friend at a young age is just something that you don’t get over so soon.
“Um, the University of Florida.” Kylie informs her while gripping her phone again.
“Oh, and did you get into any of them?” The counselor asks Kylie.
Kylie bites her lip and taps on her phone screen.
“I did actually.” Kylie says.
“Oh, which ones?” The woman asks, very impressed.
“Princeton, I got into Princeton so far.” Kylie sighs and rubs her forehead.
They sit there for a few moments.
“Why did you take a while to say the University of Florida?” The guidance counselor asks Kylie.
Looking at her carefully.
“Because, Keely always wanted to go to a college in Florida, take online classes while attending the Disney College Program, so that she can work at the happiest place on Earth.” Kylie just blurts out with a frown.
“Well do you want to go there?” The woman asks Kylie.
She just wants Kylie to admit her feelings towards this whole thing about her bestfriend’s case. Her teachers are floored with Kylie’s behavior, she acts completely unbothered, so it seems.
“I’m not sure, I mean, that’s always been Keely’s plan, to get out of this place and not look back.” Kylie informs her while playing with her fingers.
“That sounds like a serious plan.” The woman tells Kylie.
Kylie just shrugs her shoulders.
“That’s just Keely.” Kylie sighs.
And Keely always craved for adventure.
