Her Bestfriend's Case

❂ Chapter 6 ❂

“You know, I think I feel like singing a song.” – Keely James

August 10

“Um, I am just going to eat this in my room.” Kylie tells her parents while holding her to-go boxes from Chili’s.

Both of her folks look up at her and her dad nods at her.

“Of course, honey, just let us know if you need anything.” Kylie’s mom tells her.

Kylie just nods and then walks up the stairs and into her bedroom, after she closes the door, she sits on her bedroom and then turns on her silver MacBook Pro.

Once she clicks on the Netflix icon from her home screen, she the remembers to get her coke that her parents brought home from Chilis.

So, she walks out of her bedroom and then goes down the stairs and into the kitchen and hears her parents eating their food in the living room.

“I’m worried about Kylie; it’s going to be hard for her on Tuesday when she starts school.” Kylie hears her mother say.

 “She’ll be fine, just don’t stress about it.” Her father says with his mouth full.

“Oh, you are a pig.” Kylie’s mom says with a laugh.

Kylie sighs and grabs the large Styrofoam cup and puts a straw in it, and then walks out of the kitchen whilst drinking her drink and making her way back up the stairs and into her bedroom.

 Once she sits down, she then clicks on Pretty Little Liars and starts watching the very first episode and then starts to eat her chicken wings.

August 12

“Um, Kylie Jacobson.” Kylie tells the woman that is handing out schedules.

“Okay…” The woman says while going through the stack of papers.

“Ah hear you are, and sorry about your friend.” The woman says once she hands Kylie her class schedule.

Kylie just gives her a small smile.

“Thanks, can I have her schedule as well? Her parents might want it.” Kylie asks the woman.

“Yes, of course.” The woman says and then grabs Keely’s from the stack.

After Kylie takes it from her, she then walks away and then walks out of the common’s aka the lunchroom.

She stops and looks down at her schedule.

“Is that her?”

“Yeah, my big brother is in their grade, he said that they were like super close, best friends.”

“Oh, that’s so sad.”

Kylie hears all three girls say.

“This will be a sad first year of high school.” One of the girls say.

Kylie just rolls her eyes and then starts to walk away from the three Musketeers.

“This is why I hate freshmen; I was never like that freshman year.” Kylie mutters and then picks a locker that is in the building near the senior parking spot.

 She then starts to decorate it by putting three Polaroid pictures of her and Keely lined up next to each other.

She then looks at them, the middle one was dated June 13 which was almost two months ago on their cruise to Spain, it was the both of them smiling at the camera and standing in front of the railing of the ship and there was a nice sunset on the ocean behind them.

Kylie remembers that and smiles.

“Ah, right here is a good spot, come on Kylie don’t make that look, you know how much I love sunsets.” Keely says with a smirk and then hands her rose gold iPhone 7 plus to the random middle-aged woman.

Keely then wraps one arm around Kylie’s waist and Kylie does the same thing and they both smile at the phone.

“Awh, you two just look so damn cute.” The woman gushes while handing Keely back her cellphone.

“Thank you.” Kylie tells the woman while giving her a smile.

“Ah, I can’t believe that we were matching.” Kylie chuckles while looking at their matching romper dresses that they were wearing.

She then grabs two more pictures and they are of her and her Peter.

One is of Peter and her last Halloween at a party and they were Adam & Eve.

“I like that one of us.” Kylie hears her boyfriend say from behind her after she puts it up and underneath the middle picture of her and Keely.

“Me too, it was a goodnight, you were stress free.” Kylie chuckles and then grabs the second one.

 “Hah, very funny.” Peter says to his girlfriend and then opens his locker next to Kylie’s.

Kylie then looks at the picture and smiles when it dated a few months back on May 06 and it’s of her wear Peter’s baseball jersey with some white Nike pros and high knee socks that match the jersey and Peter had one arm wrapped around her.

“I like this one.” Kylie says and then puts it on the left of the Adam & Eve picture.

“Me too, you look so beautiful in my jersey.” Peter says to his girlfriend while giving her a grin.

 Kylie just gives him a smile and then continues on decorating her locker.
