“I mean, I guess that senior year won’t be so bad, just as long as we have each other.” – Keely James August 07 It’s a few hours later and currently 11 in the morning and it’s time for Kylie to paint her parking spot, so Kylie chooses a spot near the entrance in the senior parking lot.  Her mom then parks next to it on the grass of the median. Perks of having that four-wheel drive that Jeep Wranglers have. “Okay, you ready sweetie?” Kylie’s mother asks Kylie while turning off the car engine. “Yeah, I am.” Kylie tells her mom while grabbing the bag that holds paint brushes and small paint bottles and then her silver iPhone 8. “Good, now let’s get going.” Kylie’s mom says with a smile and then gets out. Kylie lets out a loud sigh, and then gets out of the car. “Does dad know you took his jeep?” Kylie asks her mother after walking around the white 2015 Jeep wrangler.  “Eh, in a way, but he knows how much I like it.” Kylie’s mom says while shaking her and smiling. This makes Kylie smile and they both take a few steps and then see the parking spot that was painted from last year’s senior, and it is quite interesting. “Oh my gosh.” Kylie’s mother says with a soft laugh. Kylie lets out a sigh. “I’m shocked that this dude did not get in trouble for this.” Kylie mutters while looking at the p***s with two baseballs replacing the you know. Kylie is dating a baseball player, and he never mentioned this. “Well, let’s start painting over it.” Kylie’s mother says while opening the trunk of the jeep which is like a door and grab a gallon of violet paint. “Yeah, okay.” Kylie says with a sigh and then puts the bag down and then grabs a paint brush and then a pint of lavender paint both from the bag. “Okay, where do you want me?” Kylie’s mother asks her daughter while putting down the gallon of paint over both of the baseballs. “Um, no where right now, until I finish doing the top border.” Kylie tells her mother while starting to paint a border at the top of the parking spot. Kylie’s mother starts spreading a smile on her face and then grabs her black iPhone 8 plus and starts taking pictures of her daughter. At her daughter who is currently biting her lip and focusing on nothing else but on doing her parking spot.                                                                       ❂||❂||❂ “Awh, looks good sweetie, now let’s get some lunch.” Kylie’s mother says while picking up the empty paint can. Kylie then spots her boyfriend and his father near one of the baseball fields. “Um, can you get some Chick fil a for us? I got to see Peter.” Kylie tells her mother while putting her phone in her back pocket of her grey denim capri pants.  Kylie’s mother bites her lip and then puts a hand on Kylie’s left shoulder. “Okay, but please call me if there is an emergency or send me a text.” The semi-paranoid mother tells her daughter while looking at her. “Yeah sure mom.” Kylie tells her mom and then starts to walk away from her. Kylie’s mom looks at her daughter and then gets inside the Jeep and starts the engine while looking to see Kylie running up to her boyfriend and giving him a kiss. This makes the mother smile and then buckle up and start to drive.  “Your parking spot is looking good Peter.” Kylie tells her boyfriend while looking down at it. It has a navy-blue background so far. “Yeah, thank you babe.” He tells her with a chuckle. Peter’s mother then walks up to the both of them grinning and then pulls Kylie into a hug.  “Ah, my sweet girl, Peter needs to bring you home more often so you can help me with my catering business.” Peter’s mom starts to say while pulling away. Kylie just smiles at her. “I miss working with you too Beth.” Kylie tells her while smiling and holding Beth’s hands. Beth gives her one in return and then lets go of her hands and then starts to glare at her son who just puts his hands up. “Peter, I expect to see Kylie for at least four days a week.” Beth orders her son. Just then, Peter’s father interjects. “Sweetheart, maybe after his games she can come over, but it’s senior year Peter needs to focus.” Peter’s father explains sternly. Making Peter roll his eyes then wrap his arms around his girlfriend.  “Dad, she’s a flexible person, and my coach likes her being around, so she can come see me at my games or practices.” Peter tells his father with a grin and then kisses Kylie’s temple. “We’re sorry about your friend Keely, how are you holding up?” Beth then asks with a small frown on her face. Kylie then lets out a sigh and Peter grips her tighter. Just one day, without being reminded of Keely. One damn day.
