Chapter 2 : Unraveling the mystery

222 Words
Emma's tires screeched as she pulled into the small town of Story Brooke, Maine. She had driven for hours, her mind racing with thoughts of Henry and what could be wrong. As she entered the town, she was struck by its quaint charm. The streets were lined with old trees, and the houses were straight out of a fairy tale, each with its unique charm and allure. She pulled up to a small cottage, the address Henry had given her. As she got out of the car, a woman with a stern expression and a perfect smile answered the door. "Can I help you?" Regina Mills, the Mayor of Story Brooke, asked, her voice dripping with disdain. "Emma Swan, Henry's mother," Emma replied, her eyes locked on the woman. Regina's expression changed, a hint of surprise and curiosity flashing across her face. "Ah, Emma. Welcome to Story Brooke." As Emma entered the cottage, she was struck by the eerie feeling that something was off. The air was thick, and an unexplained tension hung in the atmosphere, setting the stage for the mysterious events about to unfold. Emma couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to Regina's welcoming demeanor than met the eye. It was as if the very walls of the cottage held a secret, a secret waiting to be unraveled.
