Your NOT my Father

678 Words
*** Myah's P.O.V*** I took my shoes off and sat down on Lawrence's bed, thinking to myself I was finally happy.  I feel loved, and I feel like the pack will genuinely accept me. I can't wait to learn more about pack life.  I have wanted this my whole life.  I never want it to end.  "Lawrence, can I stay in your room," I asked " Sure, we can make out and not watch movies as long as you like, " Lawrence replied, winking. " No, I meant, would your father get mad if I stayed the night in here. In your bed ?" I asked.   Lawrence's eyes went dark. I know Loki was trying to push forward, and I smiled. Let me be clear. I do not intend to have s*x with you, at least tonight anyway.  I want to be near you. I will understand if Loki can not behave or if it will be a problem for your father.  " It will not be a problem for anyone," Lawrence stated, having pushed Loki into submission.  Lawrence was standing still with his head to the side. I could tell he was mind linking, and something was not right.  "Myah, a man is trying to enter the pack grounds, and he says he is your father," Lawrence said.  " T-That is impossible," I told him. Who would know I am here? I have no family or friends to speak of. This doesn't make sense to me.  "We have allowed him temporary access. He is being escorted to the packhouse by warriors. My father and I will see who this person is. I want you to  stay in the room." Lawrence was telling me almost, demanding me to stay back in the room. "No! If there is someone here for me, we will go down together. I will not sit here. If it truly is my father, I have a lot of questions. If it is not, I want to know what they could want with me."  " It seems like there will be no stopping you. You can come, but I would be grateful if you could stay close to my side. I just found you, Myah. I can't risk losing you. " Lawrence said, taking me into a tight hug.  I don't want to lose you either, Lawrence. I need to see who this man is. If he is truly my father, then I have a lot of questions, but I don't want to waste even one more second without seeing him. If he is not, I still have a lot of questions. Making sure my intentions were clear.  Lawrence nodded, showing he understood. Lawrence and I walked down the steps of the packhouse. When we got outside, the house was protected by warriors.  We walked through the middle and stood beside Lawrence's father.  Lawrence stood in a defensive stance partially in front of me.    The other warriors were walking down the long road, with the man that said he is my father is in the middle.  I couldn't see his face, though. As we were waiting, I could hear Lawrence's heart rate quicken. He was nervous, although his face did not show it. He and his father, Alpha Ahmed, stood alert and strong. I could see why they were respected.  My legs were getting shaky. I'm sure it was a mixture of anxiousness and locking my knees. I leaned into Lawrence and smelled him. His scent always brings me peace.   He didn't break his eyes away from the group walking towards us. He reached down and grabbed my hand. He rubbed his thumb over the back of my palm.  It instantly calmed me down.  Raine purred... You don't have to say anything. Rain, I already know. I looked up to Lawrence smiling because, at that moment, I knew I loved him.  I turned back to the group, and I could finally see who was there.  "I know him. He's not my father," I  yelled at Lawrence.  That's my social worker Mr. Thomas. How did he find me here? I asked "It appears your social worker is a rogue Wolf Myah" I can smell his putrid stench from here.
