The moment I heard the beta's message, I pushed Terrence aside and growled as I took over. When I glanced to Timothee, he was already taking off his clothes. I could sense his resolution. He's going to come with me. Fight with me.
I'm not letting that happen.
I want him safe.
I want him where the rogues couldn't get to him and take him away from me.
Before he could utter any word of disapproval, I've already carried and left him in the baseement. Safe. Away from harm.
With the kiss I savored from Timothee, I hurriedly left the basement and told the guards to be on standby. "Keep everyone safe."
