Everyone turned their head towards us and looked at us for almost 5 seconds before going back to what they were doing.
"I thought you said dress to impress," I said but only for Jade to hear.
"Well that's what Derek told me"
"I don't see Derek in a damn tuxedo"
I looked up to see a boy with blue hair and walking towards us.
"Oh my god, Jade I'm so sorry I forgot to tell you they said the plans changed last minute" Jade glared at him then sighed.
"Charlotte this is my cousin Derek" he held out his hand but I rejected it.
"You made me look like an i***t I'm not shaking your hand," I said crossing my hand like a bratty child. This just made him grin bigger.
"Well nice to meet you Charlotte," he then turned on his heels and walked away.
I saw Jade walk to follow him and now I was left alone. I slowly walked over to the bar area and took a seat on the high chair.
The bartender walked over to me and asked what I wanted and I just asked for a mango smoothie.
As I was sipping my mango smoothie I closed my eyes as I savored the taste. I could taste the different flavors exploding in my mouth.
"Do you mind if I sit here?" My eyes snapped open and met a pair of brown ones.
"Sure" I continued to drink my smoothie unbothered by his presence.
"I'm Ryan" I looked up from my drink and saw that he hand a bright smile plastered on his face.
"I'm Charlotte"
He was about to say something else but the red-headed girl that I bumped into before came up to the table.
"What are you doing over here Ryan," She rambled "Are you talking to her" Her face morphed into disgust.
"Um Charlotte this is Ally, Ally this is Charlotte"
"I don't care," She snapped "let's just go I don't have time for this" She snatched his hand and dragged him to the other side of the room.
I looked around and saw Jade at the food table so I got up and went over to her.
"Hey"
"Hey I was looking for you, I wanted to introduce you to some people come on" She grabbed my hand and pulled me along. We then approached a table occupied by 5 people.
"Guys this is my friend and new roommate Charlotte"
"I'm Raine" A girl with red hair and a nose ring to the centre of her nose.
"I'm Annie and this is little sister Angie" Her sister rolled her eyes "Were twins i***t"
"I'm older than you by 15 minutes"
"It doesn't count"
"Poor things never liked to admit the truth" Annie whispered in my ear.
"Anyway, I'm Jayden" A guy with dirty blond hair mumbled.
"And you already know the one and only Derek isn't that right" He had a lopsided grin on his face.
"How could I forget you, you made me look like an i***t"
"At least you look hot" he winked at me as I rolled my eyes.
Everyone talked and laughed for almost 3 hours and we all decided to head in because we had a big day tomorrow.
Jada and I made our way to our room and chat for a bit before we went to our room.
I took a bath then went to sleep.

I was woken up by a loud knock on the door.
"Go away!"
"Girl we have to get up we have to be on set in an hour"
I shot out of bed and checked my phone, I slept through my alarm.
I ran into the shower and got ready as fast as I could. I look myself in the mirror with a proud grin on my face as I put on my chefs hat.
"Come on we have to go now" I look myself one last time in the mirror before leaving my room.
"I made breakfast while you were getting ready" I looked on the counter and saw a simple avocado toast wrapped to go.
"Let's go"
We made our way to the two big steel doors and pushed it open. The set was crowded with people and they were all in a big group with Jerry in front. We ran to the group and slipped in unnoticed.
"You two are late!" Jerry's voice boomed "Don't let it happen again"
"There's a paper on the wall stating the station you will be cooking at you have 10 minutes to gather your thoughts and then it's lights camera action"
With that he left, I made my way to the roster I was table 10. I made my way to the table, it was a big wide table area with a sink and. A mini oven and stove installed in it. There was all the kitchen utensil you could think of pots pans a large cake mixer laid on the surface of the table.
Across the room had a large area with foods that I didn't even know existed.
A timer then went off.
"Were on in 5..4..3..2..1 action"
I didn't even notice that THE Tony Gonzalez was standing right there holding a microphone.
"Good Morning ladies and gentlemen this is Tony Gonzalez welcoming you to a very new season of Dessert King, this season we have a new set of contestants for you, let's get to know them"
They played everyone's introduction tape and then I heard a very familiar voice I looked around and saw myself cooking I smiled as my heart swelled with pride as I saw myself in action.
After they played all the clips Tony started talking again.
"Aren't they an interesting bunch" He grinned "Now I think it's time to meet the judges"
He began to call their name but one stood out "Gabriel Anderson!"
My head snapped up and my thoughts vanished,
