Ava’s POV

When I turn I see Alex walking to my direction “What is Alexander Knight doing here, is he our client?” I ask to Mike “Yes Mam” I just nod at him. His secretary welcomes me I nod and extend my hands to Alex “Ava Knight” I hope Ales gets this sign, I don’t want anyone to know yet, not like this. I hear murmurs everywhere which I avoid, Alex soon introduces himself and kisses my knuckles I am surprised but maintain my cold demeanor though I could not help smile forming my lips and hear murmurs again.

In the presentation hall we sit in front of each other. Alex is not looking to the presentation but is continuously staring at me. I glare at him, signaling not to look at me, but he doesn’t understand and keeps looking my way. “Mr Knight is looking towards me” one of my employee which is sitting on my side says to the other one I could not help but laugh at their infatuation for my husband. Mike moves closer to me, he’s sitting on my other side and says “Mam, you’ll have to attend charity auction tomorrow, details has been sent to your email” saying this he moves more closer and I move back. I hear Alex growling and hitting the table with his fists, everyone is shocked will be an understatement, they are afraid of him. And I know the reason, because Mike was so close to me earlier. I tell everyone to take break, Alex stops me to talk and I tell my team to go ahead without me. Before I can turn, I am being turned by Alex and pinned on the wall, he is way too angry, I try to calm him down but it doesn’t help, so I kiss him on both the cheeks which makes him still, but he doesn’t seem to calm down completely which make me pout at him, and I plead, what happens next makes us both dumbstruck, he pecks on my lips after smiling. He wants to continue further but we are again disturbed my Mike, he gets an earful from me and he stutters when I introduce Alex has my husband.

When everyone joins, Alex makes me sit beside him. He holds my hands and doesn’t let go even when I ask him to concentrate. After the meeting we go to Alex’s cabin, I haven’t informed him yet about tomorrow. I tell him the whole situation and he also informs me about his award function. Anyhow I have to be there before his award function. After meeting Brax and hugging Alex I make my way to discuss things with Claire and Sam.

“Guys I need help, I have to be there for tomorrows award function. Alex is winning one of them” “It is not possible Ava” “Claire is right Av, it is way too hectic for you” “I don’t think you will be able to reach by 6 PM” “Claire, Sam please, I know I can do this, I have a plan, you both have to help me” “Go ahead” “We are all ears” “After lunch we don’t have much activity, just meeting up the persons, and our secretaries can handle that much. If I leave by 3 I’ll reach here anyhow by 5” “What about your makeup dress and others” “Right, you have to look presentable for an award function” “I don’t wear much makeup, I can wear the dress in the car, have my beauty sleep, and do light makeup as well. Sam can pick me up along with Ethan” It’s Claire who says “let’s do it, it sounds like a plan and everything is dependent on you Sam” “… Ok let’s do if there is no other way out” “Thanks a ton guys, love you both”

After completing my work, and the discussion it is close to 8, I call Aunt Rose to ask about the dinner. I am planning to pick up Alex on my way. I call Brax “Brax, Ava this side” “Yes Mam” “Call me Ava, and I need a huge favor” “Sure Ava, tell me” “Where is Alex?” “He’s in a meeting just finishing off in 10 minutes” “Brax I’ll be there in 5 please take him to his office when I text you” “Sure Mam, ohh.. Anything for you Ava”. I reach his cabin and hide behind the doors. I text Brax that he can bring Alex anytime now. Alex enters the office after 2 long minutes. As soon he closes the door I shout at him “Bhuu” he stumbles “Ava, you scared me” and starts laughing I join too “What are you doing here?” he hugs me and I hug him back too “I missed you” he smiles “I missed you too, so you involved Brax in your plan?” I shrug it off “Let’s go I am very hungry”. We reach home in just 30 minutes, we quickly take our shower and head of to dinner, after dinner we walk a while. We make our way to my room, and sleep cuddling together.

I wake up early today again on top of Alex, I slowly lift his hands from me and slip out of the bed. Alex is sleeping soundly, not to disturb him, I go for a run, shower, and dress up while I am preparing for my meeting Alex wakes up and kisses me good morning on my forehead. He hits off to the gym, takes shower. Meanwhile I prepare waffles for today’s breakfast. Alex comes down “You know you shouldn’t have done this today at least, Aunt Rose can do it for us” “She’s growing old Alex, and I want to prepare breakfast for you” I say pouting to him. “Don’t” “hmm? What?” “Don’t pout Ava, you know what will happen if you do” he says controlling a certain emotion, when the realization hits me I instantly stop and to change the topic “Let’s have breakfast” We finish our breakfast and head in different directions after hugging each other.

I am at the charity auction it is going well. Mike is with me, I know he is a lot to handle but he’s best in what he does. It is already half past 2, and I am hurrying to my private jet. I board it at 15 minutes later to 3. I couldn’t be late today. It is already 5:30 by the time I reach airport. It will take 1 hour from here, Sam is already out waiting for me, I keep running, until I find her out. I have had my beauty sleep already in the jet. I enter the backseat, Ethan pulls up the separator so that I can change. “Ethan, you have to fly up to there, we have to reach by 6” I dress up in the gown which Claire has selected for the eve. Sam starts doing my hair into a bun, and leaving of the curls by one side. The dress is an off shoulder wine colored long satin with cuts just at right places. I apply my lipstick which is a shade of wine too. To complete the look I wear one diamond thin line neckpiece along with diamond ear studs. Sam gives me a high five which means I am looking just right for the evening. With all this going around I forget to text Alex. Ethan has managed to drive slow and fast at the same time not to smudge off when I was doing my makeup. When I am done I see it is 15 minutes past 6 already. I am late, Alex must have gone ahead, and it was all over the newspapers today that Alex will be bringing his wife with him. It would be embarrassing for him.
