Third Person's POV
Alex looks like in ruin. He has lost 2 major deals unnecessary to say the important ones. But he has not lost his touch. There is something brewing beneath his nose, in the company which he's unaware about. The 2nd deal that he lost was on purpose just to identify the person who is deceiving them. It could be anyone from the company. He lost trust in himself, so he is more bothered about whom to trust and not.
The company who took over the project was the major rival, but they can go down to this extent was unexpected. Alex was working his ass off, for two things, to take both the projects back and to think less about Ava. As Claire suggested, he was waiting for her, rather not patiently, which impacted on his health.
On the other hand, Ava is suffering as much. But being an hard headed girl, she is keeping herself sane. The file that she received had information about all the key members working in her London office, obviously some were not as she expected. The whole London office were in murmurs when she entered, as to how beautiful she is. But what attracted more attention was her calm, even when dealing with people double her age. One of the senior executive was trying to force himself on his secretary, which didn't go unnoticed from the hawk's eye. She slapped that executive hard across the face. In our firm, whether senior or junior, everybody has equal respect. The janitor in here should be respected as I am being. I may have more rights, but that doesn't give me freedom to harass anyone. All working here should remember this, if anyone tries to do wrong to anyone to my employees, they'll have to face me directly. The Icy queen was back. Inside the conference hall in the middle of presentation she got up from her seat, causing everyone else to stand. Play this for me. Her secretary did as told. The video was of a man to leaking some company secrets about upcoming ventures, holding girls around him. I don't give second chances after betrayal. Mr. Smith pack your things from here and leave immediately. As those words left her mouth, the face of man came in view, shocking everyone present in the hall. Mr. David Smith was one of the Marketing head in London office. He cowered in fear when Ava said to leave, no police cases, nothing? or was it some kind of bait? he was thinking. As he was packing in his office, Ava came Mr.Smith, thank you for your services all these years, here's a check of 1 million, for your family. He was quick to ask Ava you told you never give second chances, so is it some kind of bait? I know why you did this, but you could have directly asked me for money, it is in company's offer letter, you chose to betray the company, so no second chances. As you have to take care of your son's surgery, I won't hand over you to Police, that is the least I could do for you, you can resign right now, We won't terminate you form your services. You will easily find a job somewhere else. The man stood there in awe, though she was named ruthless icy queen for her business decisions, she was kind at heart, no one else would have given him a second chance in disguise. The London office was in outburst yet again on Ava's decision, without giving a chance of explanation. Some feared her, some respected her, some were blind by her beauty, some were praising the pretty brain of hers. But she, after making such decisions was restless.
Ava had much on her plate, she was missing Alex, after discussion with Claire, she realized that she shouldn't have left without hearing any explanation from Alex. But the deed was done, and there was no going back. She decided to surprise Alex, when he would be awarded business man of the year. She was excited and all giddy to meet Alex again.
Yet another award show was upcoming. She had to wrap up things from London office and return back, after Claire's last call. She was worried sick about Alex. She decided to take her private jet and meet him soon. Although, she liked traveling like normal people, here was an emergency or as she thought. But to her dismay she was needed a day more in London office.
