Chapter Three *Chloe's Diary*

1412 Words
Boys of the House Gemma drives a white Mercedes Benz sprinter with twelve seats. Gemma drives and Axilla sits in the driver's seat while the boys act like ass wipes. We all have like three classes together and me and Raleigh are forced to smile and laugh and be these two happy girls in school. We're not popular, none of us are, Gabe's not popular which is a shock. He's a player for the girls and the book cheater of the school. He and Raleigh are like the pros at stealing from the place. I can't wait until Mom and Dad comes home from New York. I need them to be home, Axilla and Gemma aren't as fun anymore all thanks to Gabe the problem child. Uncle Adam is the fun one, sometimes, but he can be on Axilla and Gemma's side sometimes. "Aiden sit your ass back down!" Gemma called out our screams and hollers. He looked at her and smacked Aaron before sitting back in his seat. Raleigh tossed her used bubble gum wrapper at Ivan before he and Dylan kicked the back of me and Gabe's chairs. "Dude?!" Gabe and I called out at them. Dylan gave a apologetic smile before Gemma finally pulled into the parking lot of the school. The car grew quiet and Kaden opened the door even though they open on their own, before being pushed by Ivan. Kaden gave him a look but Axilla beat him to it. "Do it again, Ivan and your heart will be my dinner tonight," Axilla said. Well all looked at at her and quickly made our way out of the minivan and dashed towards the entrance of the school. Raleigh behind me, but Gemma caught her and Gabe. I stopped and turned to them; and Axilla and Gemma spoke inaudible to them. My lip reading sucks balls. They both nodded at Gemma and Axilla before turning away. "I'll see you two after school!" Axilla called out and looked to me. "And that goes for you too, Chloendyl!" I furrowed my eyebrows at her as the van drove off the opposite direction from our house and school. I turned to my little sister and older brother. "Do I have to call in for you?" I asked Raleigh who already had a toothy grin on her face. I groaned and rolled my eyes at her before walking through the doors of White Lake Academy High. A school that's been in my parents' lives for generations. My parents, and Aunts and Uncles went there together and now us as the new generation are taking place. When we walked through the door, half of everyone's eyes were on us. Most of them nearly jumped up against the lockers. The hallways were huge and with ten of us making our way through the crowd, we had to look like a riot. Our principal put me and Raleigh's lockers together and the boys are practically just scattered here and there. When we started this school, the kids, the principal and school's secretary thought we were just a bunch of friends until during a prep, Principal Loves called out on all the Burkes in the crowd and we all stood taking the school by wind. Everyone thought that we were just every s*x child in the book until they found out that we're all a few years apart, except for the twins. And I mean every s*x child in the book, by twins, triplets, quadruplets, and etcetera. Raleigh and I exchanged views at each other and I looked at Dylan who looked at me and faced ahead of him. We're all freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors in this school and everyone has to give us alien eyes. "What's with the looks?" Ivan asked the crowd of students. "Y'all act like you've never seen ten relatives before." "Not in the same school and not at the same time," Justin West said coming up behind me and Raleigh and placing his arms around our shoulders. Justin's Raleigh's boyfriend and my future brother-in-law and which I'm not that excited about and I'm sure we all know why. "Hey, Justin," Raleigh and I said in unison with the boys cluttered in. "Hey, Justinleigh," Gabe said. Justin gave Gabe a smile and turned to Raleigh. "So, what was all the thundering about?" Justin asked. Raleigh told him what she and Gabe did. Justin chuckled and caught sight of Gabe and Kaden who barely likes Justin. Kaden says that he doesn't really like Justin because he doesn't understand why Raleigh has to have a boyfriend when she has eight brothers in her life. Ivan and Logan agreed with him, whenever Kaden asks that question. I answered with the same answer; "because Raleigh doesn't want to make out with her brothers," but Raleigh knows how to handle herself and people around her. She knows a little taekwondo from Oliver which I think is an amazing idea. "Raleigh was caught PB'ing from Meems class," I said, giving my sister the dead eye. "I love you to pieces, Raleigh, but you have to quit Permanently Borrowing things with Gabby," Justin said and looked at Gabe whose eyes read blood and gore. "I've been doing that since I was little. Why do you think we're close?" Raleigh defended herself. "Because he presented it to you," Justin says making Raleigh and Aaron and I roll our eyes at him. "True," Raleigh agreed breaking from our pack and walking along the side of the lockers to retrieve hers. "But, it's a habit to me," she said typing in her combination and opened it revealing pictures of her and Justin together followed by her rockstar designed skateboard. Justin stood leaning on the locker beside Raleigh's as she took out her skateboard and closed her locker turning to face him. I typed in my combination and opened my locker putting in my pink handbag and pulling out my pink Lisa Frank messenger bag. "You think or you know?" Justin and I repeated. Raleigh raised her eyebrows putting her skateboard under shoulder blade before facing us, mostly Shane. "A little bit of both," Raleigh said. "So, are we Catching Chickens today?" meaning skipping class or just school in general. I rolled my eyes and placed my hands on my dear little sister's shoulders. "No, Raleigh, no," I whined, "no Catching Chickens and no Chickens Catching you. Neither of you." "Awe, Chloe you care about me?" Justin asked me with sarcasm. "Of course I do," I said. "You're my sister's boyfriend and soon to probably be my brother in law and I don't want you guys getting caught. You two get caught and it reflects on me. And I care about you cause you're my little sister. My one and only. And you're responsible for your actions." "So, you're letting me go with Justin?" she says, her eyes wide and smiling at me and her finger pointing to Justin. I shrugged my shoulders at her. "Go ahead. I didn't see, say or hear anything," I said and walked away from the two lovebirds. I turned to take one last look at my sister and her and Justin were already swallowing each other. I blushed at my sister before turning the corner and walking to my first period, Chemistry, and took my seat next to my best friend Zooey French. She's Japanese and Korean descent, and speaks like a busy bee. She tells everything straight forward. I've known Zooey since we were kids and she's practically family to me and Rale's and my brothers. "So, Burkes sister, is your Burkes sister Catching Chickens today?" Zooey wanted to know. I looked at my Asian best friend and nodded. "Of course she is," I said. "Her and Justin can't stay away from each other. Last time I saw them they were swallowing each other." "Young French love," Zooey added by mumbling the word under her breath. I nodded agreeing with her as the first bell rang and the room quickly flooded with students. "Do you think that—?" "No, I do not think that you or Grent are made for each other," I quickly spoke and looked at her. Grent Bribury is a Canadian-Jew from New York he's kind of cute but he's not for me. Not my type at that, anyways. "Then, who do you think is cute to you in school?" I looked at my clumsy friend. She started smiling. "Daniel Radicliffe."
