Chapter Two. *Raleigh's Diary*

1108 Words
Baby Girl? No I'm sure no one is this family will ever get Chloe, I'm sad to say that I do. Well, I'll just leave her some slack. So, I'm pretty sure that a lot of people complain about being the youngest or complain because they are. People always comparing each other to other people. Well not me, I compare myself to me and I'm happy about it. Logan taught me how to be happy about myself when I was little. Chloe was just the supermodel of the family. Mom should've named her Monican, Monican the Mannequin. I should put that in her next birthday card. Eight brothers, one sister and two parents. Not a real happy girl am I? My name's Raleigh Burkes and I'm fourteen years old and a freshman at crappy White Lake Academy High School and am I the baby girl? No, I'm just the girl. I'm the only female spitting image of my Dad but except without the hazel eyes and blonde hair. I get most of my features from my Mom. The lips, nose, chin, and hairline, even my widows peak. I have shoulder length dark hair with blonde highlights and light brown eyes. I'm younger than Chloe by a year, three months and two days, but we're both the same height. I'm a skater girl, all thanks to Logan who taught me very well. All of us go to the same high school and we have only a few classes together. One class—gym—we have together and that's the most annoying time when we see each other. We see each other all the time at home so nothing new or interesting there. "Come on, Chloendyl don't be like that," I said to my sister and snatched the peanut butter from Gabe. "Don't call me that, Raleigh Bloomclaire," she mocked my middle name. She gave me a smile that Ivan rolled his eyes at and turned to Logan and gave him his math book. "Logan, Mom said to make sure you have everything for Chemistry," Kaden said mocking Axilla. Logan nodded Kaden and looked at Axilla and grabbed the syrup from the middle of the table. Aunt Axilla sat the table at the very end with her plate of breakfast. "Leo, mind if you start the van?" Axilla asked our butler. He smiled and made his way through the crowded kitchen. Axilla took the butter away from Dylan and cut herself a small piece. "Fifteen minutes," Axilla said and grabbed the milk and poured some in her coffee before heading it off to Logan who just sat down. He grabbed the milk, put it in the fridge before taking his seat again. "Twenty-five," Aiden added giving Kaden back his camera for photography class. "It would've been forty-five but Gabriel knocked over cake the batter," Axilla said and glanced at Gabe who threw his hands up in self defense. "I said I was sorry," Gabe said. "I had no idea Laura was right there." Aiden and Aaron, and Ivan rolled their eyes and groaned at Gabe. "How can you not know?" Aaron asked Gabe. "Laura is always there," he pointed to the kitchen stove. The kitchen staff members are three women and men, and one male butler and two maids, one male and female, and three chefs, two males and one female. Mom and Dad believes that different maids and butlers and chefs are the most prominent roles in the house. And not just all male or female but both. We have a few babysitters growing up and those sitters were Axilla, Gemma and Uncle Adam. "Well today, I just didn't know," Gabe said his younger brother before putting his fork of homemade french toast in his mouth. I smirked at my brother, put my glass of milk to my mouth taking a sip. "Chloe, did you ever do that assignment for Meem's class?" I asked her. She looked at me like I was a crazed fruit loop. "Not to change the subject, I'm just asking." "No, she said I didn't have to do it," Chloe said. "I already did the work and the extra credit." Like I said, she's a blonde nerd—no stereotype needed—but she is a makeup model with a brain. "What was that even on?" Oliver chimed himself in. "I understood the mocking hammer part but not that." Gabe chewed before turning to Oliver. "It was saying that Billie made the profit from operations," Gabe said. "I didn't get it neither but I did permanently borrow the answers," Gabe smiled. "Give me the notes, Romanleo" Axilla said putting his middle name from her lips and her hand out at him. "Can't do that, Aunty Xilla," Gabe said. "I gave them to Raleigh." She looked at me and moved her hand to me. "And I gave them to Tresh," I said. "To put back on Meem's desk." Axilla head smacked herself on her forehead and turned to Gabe and me. "Chloe, did you ever stop them?" she turned to my dear sister. "Ever?" "I don't have Meem with Gabe and Raleigh," she spoke. "I only have gym and choir practice with Gabe. He has Meem before music, I had no idea. I'm just finding out" "Of course you are," Kaden said. "I saw Raleigh give them to Tresh but that was it." Aiden looked like he was thinking when Axilla spoke up. "I'll get to you two after school," Axilla said to me and Gabe. She turned to the rest of my brothers and sister. Dylan texted Logan from his cellphone and Axilla went to grab it but he quickly moved his hand out her view. Dylan looked up at her and so did Logan and they both stuck their phones in their pockets. "Finish up," she spoke to all of us. I looked at Chloe and she looked at me, she had her phone on the table and tapped on it. I nodded agreeing that she wanted me to send her the answers to our homework. We do have Meem together but we choose to not spill the milk. Aunt Gemma would always say, "no need in putting the milk back in the carton after it split." Something we all don't understand her. She's the Riddle of the Family, and only Dad and Trisha understands her. Others, will just pull out their phones and start doing research on it. "If I eat any faster, I'm gonna bite my tongue," Aiden said with his fork halfway in his mouth. "Good," Aaron said and looked up at him and gave a smile. "You can talk less and eat more."
