Another Vampire

1027 Words
The light shining from the red moon was more than enough to show him that he no longer owned the ownership of his heart. He was already on the ground and was slowly losing his consciousness. It was quite obvious since he had already lost a significant amount of blood. Of course, it wouldn't be ab exaggeration to say that he was on the verge of death. 'So... is this how I die?' He had already started to imagine many things as he was slowly dying. 'I am yet to find love... and I haven't even found someone good for Lily...' Many things were going on in his mind as he was slowly approaching the door of death. However, he still had some willpower that was preventing him from dying despite that fact that most of his organs had stopped functioning. Heart was one of the most vital organs and of course, just by it's removal, one should be death. But it seemed like thanks to the said willpower, Jay sustained his breaths of life. His gaze was constantly fixated on the vampire who was holding his heart. 'Sigh, I guess I should rest a bit...' Now he felt unknown and extreme tiredness that forced his eyes to shut. 'Heavy... my body feels heavy.' He tried to move his body and lift it, but that too felt like an impossible task to him. 'Boom' He was about to close his eyes after which he would have never opened it when all of a sudden another loud noise was heard as if someone fell from the sky. It was this very moment that kept Jay alive. His eyes widened and they were now fixated on the person who had just appeared out of nowhere. 'A... girl?' That was the first thing that came to his mind. He could clearly see that a girl who seemed to be around his age appeared there. She had long reddish pink hair which fluttered in the non-moving wind. Her fair complexion was clearly visible despite the redness of the moonlight. Moreover, she too had fangs which without a doubt meant that she too was a vampire. But this time Jay got a whole different feeling. Jay loved vampires and had been thinking about them in his whole life till now.  He was quite a timid boy and was usually aloof in the class but the moment the topic about vampires was raised, he would end up being the most talkative of all. He had started liking the vampires whom he viewed as heroes after he had seen a flop movie named - 'The King Of Vampires.' It was a movie that was attended by only 5000-10000 people all over the world for reasons unknown. All of them hatred the movie because the quality was trash. But for Jay, it was the most exciting one. Despite being a 5 year old boy that time, he was already fascinated by it. However, whenever he tried to talk about it with his parents, for some reason they never recalled that they had gone to see any such movie and would always deny. The interesting fact was that, whenever he tried to search the movie name in the internet, it would always show one thing - 'No results found.' He loved the vampires and wished to meet them but when he actually met one, he found that they seemed nothing like the ones from the movie. His mind was then filled with disgust and fear. His body started to take actions on it's own for either escaping or running away from the place. But the moment he laid his eyes on the girl, he could get back the same feeling which he had felt on the day he had seen the movie. "You! What are you doing here?" "How did you..." 'Splash' "Arghhhh" 'Splash' All of a sudden Jay started to feel the wetness which was from the blood that spilled from the vampire which was holding his heart. Some of the blood gushed towards his eyes while most other got mixed with his own blood. "Yare yare, the Midas Vampires are such a pain in the ass...", right after she said that she vanished from the area. "Kiara!?" 'Splash' "Ahhhh!" 'Splash' Although Jay couldn't see what had happened, he could easily guess that all the remaining vampires were killed in just one attack. The girl them slowly walked back from where she had vanished earlier. She took a look at the vampire whom she had killed just now and then just removed the badge that he was wearing. "And that's 100th badge..." "Subjugation complete..." She was holding two another similar badges which she had probably retrieved from the ones that she killed just now. Her had had long and huge nails from which blood was dripping. "Sigh, I guess I should go back before the red moon ends..." "Uhh..." Just when she had decided to leave, she heard a strange voice due to which she almost instantly turned her head towards her right. "Huh? A human?" She found Jay lying right where a pool of blood had been formed. She then turned her gaze a bit more towards the right only to find a heart still beating slowly and steadily. "Haha..." "Would you look at that..." "A human is still alive even after the heart wad removed." She smirked when she looked at the scene and then slowly walked towards Jay. "Don't worry human, I will send you to hell peacefully..." Just when she said this, her nails grew long yet again. It was as if she was going to use it as a blade in order to kill Jay. She withdrew her right hand a bit back and then thrust it towards his face when all of a sudden she forced to pause. 'Eh...?' The hand paused just before the nail could hit his eyes. In fact, something caused her to stop. Her hand started to tremble when she looked at the gaze with which Jay was looking at despite being unconscious. "No way..." "He..." "..." "Why is he here?" "..." To be continued...
