A Doubt - Part 2

1066 Words
He dashed as fast as he could towards his home. Just as the doctors had reached the exit, they could no longer find Jay probably because his pace was high. Furthermore, the looked at the guard and started to scold him or blame him because it was his fault for letting Jay go away. However, the man still didn’t respond. For a minute it didn't feel as if he had turned into a statue but that was not the case. ‘Slap’ “Is your mind even present here!?”, asked one of the doctors who held a high position while slapping him. “Huh...?”, the man basically regained his consciousness or his ability to respond. “Y-yes?”, that was all he said. It was as if he couldn’t hear anything all this while and it as only now that after being slapped he regained his senses! It was weird, definitely weird. He became confused while hearing their blames but at the same time he couldn’t even understand what his mistake was in the first place. “What did I even do?”, he too kept arguing because he was unaware of the fact that he just let Jay go despite being asked to stop him. “Ah! Look at him act so innocent!”, said the same fellow who slapped him a moment ago. “Come, I’ll show you the proof!”, just after saying that the doctor started marching towards the control ro or the main base where the computers were placed. He basically wanted to show the footage that was captured by the CCTV camera near the exit. “Look at this!” He found the exact time and showed the moment when Jay ran out of the building. “This...”, all of as sudden the person’s memory became a bit fuzzy and he started to recall exactly what had happened. “Wait,..” “I remember seeing some boy run towards the exit...” “...” The doctor started to listen to his last retort of trying to state his claim. “I was just going to let him go but then all of a sudden I heard many doctors shouting and calling out...” “So I dashed towards him to stop. But then all of a sudden...” “...” He paused, he didn’t say anything after this. All he could remember was seeing a red radiance emitting from Jay’s Eyes. Just by seeing that he was forced to change the course of his action and probably that was why he was halted. Though, that couldn’t justify and wouldn’t be believed by anyone if he were to say, so he just bowed his head and asked for forgiveness. “I’m sorry... it was my fault!” “Please don’t fire me.” He grit his teeth and asked for forgiveness. The doctor was not so kind to forgive him but right now he didn’t have the time to waste so he just let the matter go and went out of the room. “Just...” “Just what had happened there?”, the man asked himself and then quietly positioned himself near the exit where he was standing earlier. Regardless, he was now quiet and was just thinking about the incident that took place a while ago. MEANWHILE... 'Huff huff' Jay had already arrived near his home. He just wanted to prove the doctor wrong because he had complete faith in what he believed. He still had the memory of his sister and all the time that he had spent with her weren't just mere imaginations. "Damn, I forgot to get the key!" Of course, after the accident and his admission in the hospital, they had come and locked his house in order to protect what was inside. Since he had fainted and was in the state of coma, the members of the hospital had transferred the keys to the Central Bureau of Investigations of the country. "What should I do now...?", he wondered. Of course, without the key he could get inside by either breaking the glass of the window or something, but he didn't want to do something like this. He just walked near the door knob and tried to rotate it. Although, without the key it would be quite tight and almost impossible to rotate, it ended up being quite easy for him. "What the-" "The door was left open?", he asked himself. After the knob was successfully rotated, the door opened slowly while making a weird noise.  Regardless of that, he just walked inside without even taking a look at the knob which he had rotated just a moment ago. He didn't care about anything else and just wanted to get some family photos or other photos so that he could prove himself. But just as he was about to get one, he could hear the sound of the siren indicating that they had caught Jay. He was no criminal, but right now he felt no different for some reason. He didn't want to fight anyway right now since he could finally prove that he had a sister just by showing the photos. "Jay, have you gone mad? How can you just run away like that?", the head doctor who had been taking care of him ever since he was hurt asked him quite abruptly. "..." Jay didn't say anything and just flashed the family photo to the doctor as if he wanted to prove something. "What is it?", the doctor was rather confused. He didn't find anything noteworthy in the picture. He just kept moving his glasses a bit as he looked at the photo carefully but even after going through it a number of times, he couldn't find anything. "See? I told you right? I had a-", Jay was trying to end this conversation by saying that, but the doctor butted in. "Sister right? Where is she then?", the doctor asked. "Huh? What do you mean? Isn't she right..." "...here?" Shiro himself was shocked when he took a look at the picture because there was no sign of Lily in the picture. "..." To be continued...
