We pull into my parent's driveway, a bag of snacks now between us after having made an emergency snack stop at the nearest shop. Studying without snacks is a pain, honestly.
I hop out of the car, snack bag in hand and wait for Isaac to get out of his car.
He doesn't seem to notice, his attention directed to his phone instead - seemingly messaging someone. He has a lot of friends after all, as the son of the alpha, a lot of people want to be close to him. Usually I wouldn't worry, but something about his expression right now concerns me... The vibes are... off.
As quickly as I notice his expression, he jolts out of it, putting his phone away and getting out of the car.
"Is everything okay?" I ask, concern clear in my voice.
"Oh, uh, yeah, everything's fine. Just some of the guys being idiots." He stumbled, "They're fine though, don't worry."
"Oh, okay, if you're sure," I note, worried about his friends now, "Should you go to them and check if everything's okay?"
"No, no it's fine. We have a lot to do, they can manage themselves right now," He finishes.
Something about his expression still seems off... But I decide to drop it. There's no point in me stressing out over something I can't do anything about right now. I should focus on my studies anyway.
"Okay, well, let's go in then," Smiling up at him, I take his hand a bring him inside.
"Mum, Dad, we're home!" I call upon entering.
"Welcome home dear!" My mum calls from the living room. We make our way to her, "Is Isaac with you? Or is that Sophia?"
"Hello ma'm, " Isaac greets my mother with a smile and a handshake upon entering room.
"Welcome Isaac, how is everything at the minute?" My mother asks warmly, with a kind smile.
"Everything is fine ma'm, just business as usual," He grins tightly, clearly still nervous around my parents.
"Well, don't let me keep you back, I'm sure you both have plenty to do during exam season." She gave us a tilted smile before returning to her work laptop on her desk.
"Thanks mum, we'll chat later! I love you!" I call as we leave the room.
"You too, sweetheart," She calls back, "And stay safe! Remember, we have cond-"
"Okay mum! Thanks!" I yell back, very loudly and very fast, cutting her off as quickly as I could, my face beaming.
Isaac stifles a laugh, a very awkward laugh, his face, too, beaming.
As embarrassed as I am by my mother, I am grateful that she is so accepting of our relationship. Many wolf parents aren't accepting of, or comfortable with their teenage children dating, until after they have found their mate. Some parent's reason for this is simply that the parent's are conservative and don't agree with us sleeping with those other than our mates.
But more commonly, the reason wolf parent's aren't typically okay with teenagers dating before having mated, is because it can cause a lot of pain, and trauma for their kids, if the person they're dating isn't their mate.
My parent's have always been fine with me dating, especially with Isaac. So I assume that they believe he is my mate as well, honestly. Or maybe that they trust me to make the right decisions. Who knows?
Regardless, I'm grateful to them for how welcoming they've been.
Isaac and I approach my bedroom.
Our house is one of many pack houses, all with similar design, cabin-like, but very modern. As my father is the pack's beta, our house is bigger than many of the others. Usually I don't care about this, but when Isaac is with me, I am very grateful, as it means my bedroom is a fair distance away from my parents. The privacy, is very welcome at these times.
Isaac enters first, and I lock the door behind me, moving to my desk to take out my books and start up my pc, ready to start work.
"Hmm..." Isaac sings, a little high pitched, "Interesting..."
"What?" I laugh at him a little.
"No no, nothing really... I was just wondering why you locked the door..." Isaac approaches from behind me, slowly, and grabs me by the waist.
I catch my breath a little as my excitement rises.
"Isaac..." I mutter.
"Mm?" He breathes, his mouth making its way up my neck. He begins kissing my neck, still embracing me from behind.
I breath out a little, shaky moan.
"Isaac..." I barely whisper, "Isaac, we need to study..." I say, but my body disagrees, heating up and curling more into him. Feeling him against me more and more, sending me even further over the edge.
"Mm..." He sighs, before placing one more kiss on my neck, "Okay, I'll stop." He kisses the top of my head.
He pulls away from me and I whimper a little, turning to pout at him, conflicted. He waits for me to respond.
"Never-mind studying right now," I say decisively, pulling Isaac in and kissing him passionately.
We move to the bed and I climb on top of him, slowly, pulling my shirt off as I straddle him. Feeling him underneath me just driving my need for this...
"Claire... Are you sure? You seemed stressed about studying" Isaac checks, concern clear in his voice.
"Well, we'll just have to be quick then I guess," I grin, bashfully as I pull him in again...
(A/N to the two people who followed this story: thank you so much! Because of you I had the confidence to start writing this again ?)
