In the living room of the mansion, Tadgh checked Jeremy’s pulse. “He’ll need a bit more or he won’t make it.”
Ciaran nodded. “Please give it to him.”
Everyone watched from inside the house as a group of fifteen vampires approached.
“Give me the box, Susan. They’re tracking it.”
Susan gave the box with the talisman to Ciaran.
“What’s in there?” Brandon asked.
“You don’t want to know, Brandon.” Susan led him away from Ciaran.
“If it’s in this household, and the vampires want it, I need to know.”
“When was the last time you set foot in here, Dad? Please let Ciaran handle this.” Maggie shoved both Susan and Brandon toward the back of the room.
