Chapter 10
Heat. That was what Maggie felt while standing outside on that icy winter day. A strange, hot energy seemed to emanate from Ethan and Jeremy’s car, and from Ciaran.
For some reason, Maggie felt connected to Ciaran. Somehow she knew he was signaling her about an undesirable situation.
To her right, Jeremy drove in with Ethan in the car. And to her left, Ciaran stood, looking extremely concerned.
“What’s the problem, Ciaran?”
He yanked open the trunk and tossed the lantern in. “Get in the car. Quick, Maggie.”
She hopped into the passenger’s seat without asking any questions,.
