The next two weeks went by very quickly for Zen and Calum. Coach Stevens was pushing the swimmers twice as hard as she normally did in preparation for the first competition of the season. Most nights they passed out right after dinner and their bodies ached from being pushed to the edge.
Zen and Calum spent most of the time at school together and Calum picked her up and drove her home every night in his new car. They always greeted each other with a kiss, but they’ve been so busy that both of them were too exhausted for anything else.
Calum had planned to take Zen to La Jolla cove that following weekend, but when the actual day came they were both so exhausted from training that they decided to spend the day watching movies instead.
