Nadi held down his hood as he walked through the spirited streets. The air was better than what he had envisioned freedom to be. Men and women of different shapes and sizes were bustling around, smiling and shouting, and most times, urging the passers-by to persuade their displayed product. There were tomatoes, yams, birds, and other livestock lining the two hands of the streets. Too many people were speaking at the same time, and none was paying attention. Nadi had not been this close to a market before, and even now, it was hard to say if he actually belongs here. There was no hostility on the faces of these people.
