CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR
The jinn transported us from my house in record time. In less than a minute, we were speeding down my street, the engines of the jinn’s cars roaring wildly.
Someone had to have seen us. I had nosy neighbors. Granny was the nosiest. I hoped she called the police like she said she would. Probably wasn't going to help me, but at least it would give me some comfort.
The jinn bound my hands with rope. No duct tape this time. They had gotten smarter.
At gunpoint, I gave them the address that Natkaal had relayed to me.
The only thing I could see through the burlap sack were the shadows and lights moving outside the car, flashing and fading momentarily as we flew through the streets. I could hear men talking in hushed whispers.
